Chapter 1

TAURIEL'S POV
*4 years after the wedding*

I wake up to the sunlight hitting my face, another beautiful day. I feel like there's hope today, like something magical is going to happen. It's been four days since I checked for a positive pregnancy test. Everything it comes up negative. You are probably thinking I'm too young to have children. Well you are probably right, but I figured it's time to have a new addition.
Besides me I do have new additions to my family. Legolas got a girlfriend about a year ago named Lily. She has blonde hair, olive skin, she lights up a room when she walks in. Also, Thranduil has found a wife named Ellerian. They married two years ago, they're a perfect fit. She's like a real mother to me which I thought I'd never get.
On Kili's side he found out he has a baby cousin named Leanne. She has black hair with pale skin and dark eyes. She is almost fourteen and very mature for her age. Other then that, that's all the people.
"Good Morning." Kili whispers behind me. "Morning." I whisper back. "How many days is it till Friday?" He asks. I laugh a little. "One." I reply. "I don't think I'll make it." He groans. I roll my eyes. "Today's the day I check again." I tell him. "It probably will be a negative." He says. "You need to be more positive." I say and get up.

As I wait impatiently I see one line show up. 'Of course,' I think, 'a negative.' But then a second line appears and I stare at it for at least five minutes. 'I can't believe it.' I think. I want to scream and jump and run around. 'How am I going to tell Kili?' I think. 'Will he be nervous, happy, scared? So many emotions at one time!'
"Tauri is everything okay?" He asks coming in. I realize I still have both my hands covering my mouth. He walks over and he just stands there. "This......this is amazing!" He says with excitement. I drop my hands and smile and tears come with it. I then hug him and we stay there for at least ten minutes. "When should we tell Thranduil and Thorin?" I ask. "Today." He replies. "We should do it in person." I say as the phone rings. Kili grabs it. "Hello?" He asks. "Yeah, uh huh, sure." I look at him and worry crosses his face. As he hangs up he lets out a sigh. "Thorin is dying." He says.
