CHAPTER 1 FIRED

Creators notes before you start the story

Just to be aware I am good at spelling but I do struggle when it comes to punctuation so sorry if some sentences are kind of odd but I hope you guys understand and thx for reading my FanFiction thank you

    It was a new and shiny day in the town of Brisbane, Australia. The sun shined brighter than a thousand light bulbs over the beautiful rays of grass and buildings glistening like icicles. In a facility not far away, named the A. T. R. F. , a worker named Amanda Rogers was finishing her last hour of her shift. Before she could punch out, she receives a message from her boss, telling her to meet in his room immediately. Amanda then timidly walks into her boss's room, thinking she was in trouble because of last night's incident. "Oi, I heard you need me?" She said with a confused look, fidgeting her fingers. "Yes, I called you over to talk about yesterday's incident in the experiment room," Her boss said in a professional tone. "Uh, yes, sir. I-I can explain..." Amanda struggled to get her words out. All she could do was stare at the floor, knowing what she did wrong. She eventually stuttered, "So, about yesterday, I'm so sorry! I slacked off a little and hit the red button by accident," She started to get embarrassed, fidgeting  and staring at the floor once again. Her boss sighed, "Look Amanda, you can't keep sleeping on the job like this. This job requires razor focus. Not just for your safety, but for everyone who works here as well,".

I know I am sorry I am not getting enough sleep maybe if I get more sleep maybe I can get back to work. Amanda said well promising her boss

I'm sorry Amanda even though you're a great client to work with and you're very nice but I can't have another worker slacking off I'm sorry to say this but you're fired.

Amanda looks down at her feet not surprised that she's been fired knowing that the thing she's been slacking off during work and sleeping on the job probably contributes to it.

Look Amanda I'll give you one more day when your next paycheck comes and then you're going home said her boss.

Amanda not knowing what to say just says, please please please I need this job I have two young kids at school right now I need the money I can't take care of my own children by myself without this job! Amanda cried out loud to her boss.

I'm sorry Amanda but you should have thought about that before causing ruckus at work. Said her boss.

Amanda just left the boss's office just going back to work and working on paperwork then other work stuff.

I can't believe I am being fired I need this job not just for me but my kids too, I should have never stayed up but I can't sleep, well that's what happens when you have mental health conditions right, she said in her mind.

Amanda was always an only child inside her household, when she grew up and her parents died when she was only 6 years old, Amanda always kept quiet
And didn't talk about her feelings with anyone besides going to the doctor and doing a couple therapy sessions. But she knew deep down they didn't work but she tried to make herself feel better not being able to move on from her parents death. 

But she shrugged it off and finished work and headed home for the night, Amanda got home and immediately went to bed crying thinking about not being able to feed her family and herself. but then her child walked in and asked her if she was okay.

Amanda stopped her made conversation in her head and said yeah I'm okay sweetheart, I'm, I'm just thinking about things. She said To her 5 year old daughter.

Hey Mom is it okay to sleep with you tonight? Amanda's only child said.

Why sweetheart is everything okay? Amanda said.

I just had a bad dream her son said.

Feeling sympathy she allowed her son to climb in bed with her, they both laid down on the bed together with her mom holding her son into bed comforting him.

Amanda just staring at the ceiling in bed thinking about her kid. She eventually laid down and slept with the thought of her son being next to her which made her calm her down and allowed her to sleep.

But a little bit Amanda knew that tomorrow would be the day that would change your whole entire life forever and put her life's view of the world in a different perspective.
