Ian was slightly peeved. Peeved that Anthony had never called him.

Sure, it'd only been two days, but still. He wasn't expecting the guy to spontaneously order flowers or anything, but he was hoping for just a call to talk. Maybe he should have given him his cellphone number or whatever.

Ian was interrupted from his thoughts when Melanie gave him a poke on his nose. "Ian, the deliveries are ready."

He groaned, getting up from his seat with a stretch. "I thought it was your turn today?"

"No, you told me yesterday that you would take over the deliveries today."

Ian didn't recall saying anything remotely like that, but decided it wasn't worth arguing with her about it. He sighed dramatically, starting to walk towards the door. "Are they in my car already?"

"Yeah, and there's individual notes on each one on where they're being delivered and for who."

He nodded, pushing the door open with his hip. "Okay, see ya' Mel!"

She waved in dismissal, sending him on his way.

Okay, last one. Where's it headed? He thought as he finished delivering his fourth arrangement.

The fifth was a single rose sitting in the backseat. "Who the hell orders one flower? Why wouldn't they just come into the shop to get it?" He muttered.

He read the address, not seeing a name anywhere on the piece of paper. Wow, good job Melanie. Remind me to give a promotion. Ian shrugged it off though, putting the keys in the ignition to start driving again.

He used the map on his phone, surprised when the phone let him know he'd entered the address in before. He smirked in realization, finally figuring out where he was going. He wasn't really upset anymore that someone had ordered a single flower.

He pushed the door of the tattoo shop open, the inside lit as dimly as ever. "Did you order flowers?" He called out.

He paused upon seeing a short Asian girl with red hair standing behind the counter instead of Anthony. She looked up when he yelled, confusion dancing across her face. "Um, no. I don't think so, anyway."

Ian strode across the shop towards her, mindful not to bump into anything. "Well someone here ordered this rose from my shop so..."

"Wait," she took a good glance at him, "are you Ian?" He nodded, surprise clear in his vibrant blue eyes. She smiled, taking a glance towards the back room. "Anthony was telling me about you."

He raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Good things, I hope."

"Only the best."

Ian liked the girl already, she reminded him a lot of Melanie in some ways. He stuck his hand out, taking her hand in quick shake. "Well, formal introduction time despite you already knowing my name. I'm Ian."

"I'm Mari. And you seem to be exactly what Anthony described."

They were disrupted by two voices coming towards them from the more brightly lit back room, one of the voices Ian instantly identified as Anthony's.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll see you soon, Jack. Have a great day!"

Ian stepped back as Jake approached the counter to pay for a tattoo. Ian inferred that he must be a regular customer here, due to the several piercings and full tattoo sleeves he had. He was much taller than Ian, and with the muscles on his arms he could probably break Ian's nose with a flick of his finger if he desired it so.
