Midnights pov
Finally this shit is over.
Can it be the weekend already? Or better yet, vacation.
I need it, school's exhausting.
At least I have smart new girl next to me in at least two classes, so I don't need to put in that much of an effort, right?
I quickly headed to my car since I've had to buy more food for my hamster since like last week and officially ran out last night.
As I was starting my car and getting ready to drive away, a small commotion in the corner of my eye caught my attention.
Normally, I'm the kind of person to stand on the sidelines (however I have been the one to start things on multiple occasions) however, this time was different.
I got a gut feeling saying I needed to check it out, and so I did.
I got out of my car, and before I could even hear what was going on, the sight immediately filled my body with dread.
Was that.. Eve's geeky little sister?
It couldn't be, could it?
It's impossible, she wouldn't even talk back enough to get into a verbal fight with someone close, how could she possibly be attacked?
I slowly made my way over to the small group of jocks, careful not to make too much noise that might scare them away.
They're not getting away with this that easily.
I saw one of the guys hold something-presumably her bag or something-up in the air, and she was standing on her tiptoes to grab it, to no avail obviously.
"What's that? Little girl needs her backpack back? Did mommy buy it for you?" the guy said as he mockingly fake-cried.
"Please just give it back" she pleaded as she was still trying to grab it from the air.
You're not that tall sweetie.
"Or what? Is your mommy gonna get mad at us otherwise?" one of the other guys said whilst laughing.
"Yeah, mommy getting mad about a bag and some silly books?" The third guy chimed in.
"Just because you're too stupid to appreciate literature doesn't mean you have to take away mine" she spat back annoyed, still making herself taller to somehow get ahold of her things.
Big mistake.
I'm guessing her comment seriously pissed the third guy off, as that earned her a punch in the gut.
Okay that's it.
I bolted towards said guy and pushed him against a tree, tightly.
Midnights, focus. Murder is still illegal.
"Lady what the fuck?" He stuttered, purely out of terror.
"I thought you liked that?" I inquired. "Pushing others around, hurting them. Thought you'd like to know how it feels like" I shrugged.
The two other guys looked at me, stunned, having dropped the bag.
Half of the mission complete I guess?
"You're crazy, mental even. This is sick."
"Okay, sure I'll play along. Why is it sick when I do it, but not when you do it?" I asked, curious to see where this was gonna go.
