I stared at the ceiling. I heard a noise. It was as quiet as a mouse. It is just your imagination. I tried to think to myself. There it was again. I got up. I quietly walked down the stairs. Every light in the cabin was off. I heard the noise again, yet this time it was louder. I looked around. Nothing was in sight. It was only pure blackness surrounding me as if I was a celebrity on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The sound stopped.

" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" A loud screech let out from the hallways. I ran into Kayla's room.

"Get up! It's here! She found us! HURRY!!!" Kayla wouldn't wake up! I turned her over. She was-- I was interrupted by the same loud screech as before. I ran upstairs as fast as I could. I grabbed the photograph. I read the caption over and over again. Then, I realized the truth behind everything.

In small print in the bottom of the paper it read:

She was found. Please do not be frightened.

Of course I was frightened! My best friend was dead, and something other than a girl was living in this cabin.
