Chapter 1
A beam of sunlight cut through my window, gently kissing my skin. I felt the dazzling brightness against my closed eyes, prompting me to wake up. Quick to react, I shifted to face away from the window, embracing the warmth on my back instead. Morning had whispered its arrival, and I welcomed it in my own dance with the sunlight.
Masakit iyon panigurado.
I eased into wakefulness with a full-body stretch, then let out a big yawn. Leaning against the wall, I perched on the edge of the bed. Lost in thought, my gaze wandered to the window, where I realized the outside world already bathed in brightness.
I carefully arranged the bed. I am the type of person who absolutely dislikes having any mess or even a speck of dust, especially in my room, so I made sure to tidy up everything thoroughly.
“Star? Are you awake?”
I had just grabbed a new towel when I heard a knock. I stared at the door.
“I am! Maliligo na rin po ako!” sigaw ko.
“Alright! Move quick!”
During my first two months at the university where I initially enrolled as a freshman, college students there had the freedom to choose their desired class schedules. Consequently, I selected at least two class in the evening because I wanted to experience that as well.
But it seems like that course is not fit for me.
Now, I am currently adjusting to that school where I no longer have control over my class schedule. That is why, I need to hurry up because my first subject today starts early at 8:00 A.M.
I shivered as the cold water touched my bare skin. Ignoring the chill, I quickly showered, not letting the cold bother me.
Ginagaya ko kasi si Queen Elsa. The cold never bothered me anyway!
I wore a high-waist denim pants paired the white round neck shirt. I adorned my wrist with a special watch from a special person who gave it to me and embraced my neck with a silver necklace. When I opened the door with anticipation, I ventured out, my trusty black bag in my shoulder.
