"Watch out." Deon pushed Amethyst out of his way, and with one strike. Knocked down the rampaging Phantom. That almost had the chance to take a bite onto Amethyst's neck. As the Phantom's fresh blood dripped from Deon's scythe. They spotted multiple Phantoms peeping from the covers, Amethyst made carelessly. But this was not a problem to worry about, for Deon. "Phantom Art: Dancing Blaze!" Deon released a majestic flame as it grew larger once he swings his scythe faster. Destroying the Phantoms in an instant. Amethyst laid his eyes on Deon's combat. Observing it, in that way he'll have an idea on how to use a weapon such as the scythe. But as soon as that. He started to concentrate with the situation instead. "It's too late. We'll need to find a way to destroy them, without the need of Luminal Energy." Amethyst announced. It's surprising that he quickly understood this 'luminal' thing in just minutes of Deon's explaining. He may have a sharp tongue, but his attentiveness is something else. That's why Amethyst will sure come in useful in similar conversations. Hearing this, Deon nodded with a loud grunt. As if he and Amethyst were already considered as 'friends'... But as long as they find a way to eliminate the Phantoms. That's none of their worries. (Sorry for explaining a lot. I just need to add details lol) In a speedy trot. Amethyst followed Deon's lead where most of the Phantoms were gathered. But still, Amethyst was still bothered. He wanted to ask Deon if he could check on at least Claude or the others. He doesn't have any experience to this, anyway. "Hey. Claude mentioned something. That even if you managed defeating a Phantom, they'll just continue spreading as if nothing happened. Is that true?" Amethyst asked as he reached closer to the younger boy. So, he could hear him properly. "That is true. But every time a party of Phantoms attack a place or whatsoever... They'd always have a leader escorting them. Think of it as an ant colony. Once they strike, their queen would handle them as they battle against the enemy. And in the same time serving the queen with the food they hunt. Same goes with Phantoms." Deon answered Amethyst's question as he swinged his scythe to any Phantom nearby without performing any special abilities. And Amethyst was impressed by how he could battle while speaking. "So, my plan is. If we managed to abduct their leader. The rest of the Phantoms would start running away, in fear. Reporting this quickly to TEMPEST leader: Seventeen. But we need their alive, in that way, they can speak up and answer our questions regarding to the TEMPEST. I myself, don't know any about this." Deon proceeded, still continuously spinning his scythe as if it was a fidget spinner. Amethyst agreed firmly with a nod. As the two arrived, near the training base. Both of them spotted Mikhail striking down several Phantoms in one graceful hit. The task may look easy. But the Phantoms kept spreading, even if they knock down a bunch. Mikhail turned to Amethyst and Deon with an odd smile. Making Deon puzzled for a moment. The two may be childhood friends. But even through out those years. He still has a difficulty in understanding Mikhail's true emotions. Or does he have two sides of his personality. "Mikhail! New plan. We'll find the Phantom who operates this attack before it even gets worse. We won't let a single person die. Not even Claude.", "Got I-" but before Mikhail got the chance to race to another area in search for the superior rank Phantom. He felt his skin emerging like goose flesh. Not only was his skin crumbling. But he sensed smoke coming out of his body. When he turned to his back to check the source of the strange smoke. He spotted almost his entire body in flames. He trembled in place, somehow trying to swing his arm in order to put out the flames. It's no use. But how was he set into flames just like that? Whatever this is. It was probably created by a Phantom. Not just any ordinary Phantom. But perhaps, a high ranked Phantom. As he turned around while gripping onto his arm, tightly. He spotted a beautiful, yet fearsome Phantom in a glimpse. "It seems that you all won't play nicely!" in a flash. The Phantom lifted her arm. A katana in hand. And created an enormous flaming ball as she was staring at Deon and Amethyst. Ignoring Mikhail who was beyond injured. "DEON! WATCH O-", "Phantom Art – Hydro Rush" in a blink of an eye. An odd, blue wave came before the Phantom's attack. And this kind of art did not belong to Deon. This blow made the female Phantom's blade split into half. Making her unable to perform any attack. As if she was useless. As Amethyst looked from above to see the person behind it. He spotted a young, charming girl. And her hair was blue as an ocean. The Phantom fell in place, after such heavy attack. And since the Phantom was severely injured. The flames in Mikhail's body vanished for it belonged to the female Phantom. Yet the burns still remained. "Who is that?" Amethyst asked, still staring at her confused. "That's Oceane. Rank A in the Phantom Corps. She's not really that strong, but yet she is capable in defeating several Phantoms in just seconds. She's near to becoming Rank S." Deon said as he rolled his eyes the tiniest bit. Perhaps, they're not in good terms. The Phantom stood up, groaning in pain. By the looks of her unique skills that the other Phantoms can't do. Obviously, she must be the upper-class Phantom, that's always attached in Seventeen's hip. (Ngl but why is it giving kny now-) "You filthy monkeys..! Do you even know who you're playing with. We only just begun... I'll make sure all you humans will—", The female Phantom paused for a moment. As beads of sweat fell from her forehead. This made the four puzzled. But it was not long, until a sharp blade curled to her neck. It was Claude. The person who caused all of this, in the first place. But he didn't intentionally want her beheaded. He simply created a deep scar, but enough to make her pass out. She fell to her face, with her slender body trembling. Amethyst was left frozen. How did he made her pass out so easily, without using any Phantom Arts? Deon and Mikhail stared at him blankly. While Oceane, unfazed. Claude turned to Deon, with an odd smirk. As he swinged his blade to his side. "You've returned. Just as I expected.".
