gala glam: sylus and his new
flame, is he officially off the
market?

you've already made headlines in gossip
articles.

well done, y/n.

gosh

they work fast

i'm not sure if i'm scared or flattered

you should feel both. it can be dangerous,
so be careful with what you post and what
you do from now on. understood?

understood...

what's with the ominous periods?

well i never got a 'hi,' 'hello,' 'how
are you?' 'how was your day?'

oh, and do you care for those sorts
of pleasantries?

it would be nicer than you immediately
telling me what i can and can't do

but to each their own

besides, i thought texting wasn't safe?

on certain occasions it's acceptable

what? does it bother you? is this a
new rule— no texting?

you think you're so funny

in a matter of weeks you're already
bolder. should i take that as a positive
sign?

i just don't understand

you normally only text me when you
need something and vice versa

is it so unbelievable that i simply texted
you to praise your efforts?

yes

regardless, that's what i'm here for.
you did a good job, y/n.

the search 'how long have sylus and y/n been dating?' was trending— amongst other questions about your personal life. you were quickly gaining popularity and you weren't sure you liked being in the spotlight. you felt like people were watching you, analyzing you, secretly waiting for you to mess up.

it had only been a week, but you could already feel the pressure building in your chest. despite all this, you still couldn't possibly bring yourself to back out. the money— it was simply too much to turn down.

you glanced at the envelope on your desk, the money that sylus had given you for the charity gala still neatly tucked inside. you'd been keeping yourself occupied since the event, studying more and trying to finish any overdue assignments. now, you were in your dorm, the city outside your window a soft ambiance as you tried to focus.
