MARISOL WOKE UP TO THE SOUND OF HER alarm playing a soothing tune. she pressed the button to stop it and rubbed her eyes. she grabbed her phone from her nightstand and checked the time. her phone read 7:35, which gave her an hour to get ready and about 20 minutes to get to her 9am class.
she got up from her bed and slid her fluffy slippers on before heading to the bathroom. she brushed her teeth then turned the water on for a quick shower. having already washed her hair the night before, she tied it up in a bun before stepping into the warm water. she washed her face with a cleanser, then washed her body with her method coconut body wash.
after mari finished, she wrapped her body in a towel and began doing her skincare that was kept on the right side of the sink counter; as lottie's was placed on the left. mateo bought her the rhode skincare line when it dropped and mari's loved it ever since.
she went back into her shared room with lottie and opened her closet. she picked out her outfit, going with a white top, camo sweater, and baggy jeans. once she got dressed she went to her vanity she sat down and got the things she needed for the makeup she was going to out and on the desk.
marisol made sure to be as quiet as she could to try to avoid waking up lottie, who didn't have a class until 12. she finished up her makeup, spritzing a bit of setting spray onto her face before brushing her hair out.
she grabbed her school bag, threw it on her shoulder, and headed out the door. once she was out of the dorm building, she began walking to a local coffee shop she went to before classes and to study with lottie or mateo.
the little bell on the door rang as she pulled the door open and stepped inside. the warmth in the air calmed her chilled skin.
marisol walked to the counter and asked for her usual; an iced caramel latte. lottie always called her basic for her choice of drink but she loved it, so it didn't matter to her.
after waiting shortly, she grabbed her drink and made her way to a seat. she decided she could spare a few minutes to sit down and enjoy her drink. the only seat open was one across from a brown haired boy, who she thought looked oddly familiar, but brushed the feeling off.
after taking a seat, she scanned his face for a quick moment, not daring to be caught by him. she couldn't lie, he was very attractive, but she didn't want to look like a creep so she tore her eyes off of him and went back to scrolling on her phone.
