Circa late 2013.
The neon lights of Gangnam's bustling nightlife cast a vibrant glow over the city. Hajun, found himself drawn to the familiar ambiance of a dimly lit bar. The bar owned by one of his closest friends and the only bar he frequented. The music pulsed through his veins as he nursed a drink, lost in thought.
A woman, her figure shrouded in the soft shadows, caught his eye. Her name was Ana, visiting Seoul for a business/leisure trip, always intrigued by the vibrant Korean culture. She considers Seoul as her second home. Their eyes met across the crowded room, a spark igniting between them.
Drawn to her magnetic aura, Hajun approached her. "Can I buy you a drink?" he asked, his voice barely audible over the music.
Ana smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Sure, why not?"
As they talked, they discovered a shared love for music, travel, hiking and the thrill of new experiences. The night flew by in a whirlwind of laughter and conversation. Before they knew it, it was late, and the bar was emptying out.
"Do you want to go somewhere quieter?" Hajun suggested.
Ana nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. They hailed a taxi, and soon found themselves in Ana's hotel room.
The hotel room was hushed, and the only sound was the soft hush of the air conditioning. Hajun, a man of few words, was the first to break the silence. "You're beautiful, Ana," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
Ana, her face flushed, looked away, her eyes darting around the room. "Thank you," she replied, her voice barely audible.
Hajun reached out, his fingers tracing the line of her jaw. "I've been wanting to do this the moment I saw you," he confessed.
Ana's heart pounded in her chest. She had never felt this way before. "Me too," she admitted.
Hajun leaned in, his lips brushing against hers. Ana closed her eyes, her body trembling with anticipation. Their kiss was slow and passionate, filled with a longing that neither of them could explain.
Hajun pulled away, his eyes filled with desire. "Let's make this night unforgettable," he said.
Ana nodded, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps. With trembling hands, Hajun began to undress her. As he peeled away her clothes, his eyes lingered on every inch of her body.
Ana felt a wave of warmth wash over her as Hajun's hands explored her skin. She was both nervous and excited, but she knew that this was what she wanted.
When Hajun was finally finished, he lay on top of her, his body pressed against hers. "You're so beautiful," he whispered. Ana smiled, her heart filled with a sense of peace. "I'm yours," she replied. Hajun kissed her neck, his lips trailing down to her chest. Ana moaned, her body arching against his. As he entered her, she felt a surge of pleasure that she had never experienced before.
They moved together in perfect harmony, their bodies melding as one. Ana's mind was a blank, filled only with the sensation of Hajun inside her.
After what seemed like hours, they finally reached their peak. As they lay together, panting and spent, a sense of contentment washed over them. As they drifted off to sleep, they both knew that this night would be one that they would never forget.
The night was filled with passion and intimacy, a whirlwind of emotions that neither of them had experienced before.
The next morning, Ana woke up first. She slipped out of bed and dressed, feeling a mix of exhilaration and uncertainty. As she left the hotel room, she decided to eat breakfast and spend the whole morning there, hoping that when she goes back to her room, the man he slept with is gone.
Ana sighed as she looked at the food choices in front of her and murmured. "Why did you have to do it? You knew better. You always know better. Why couldn't you just not drink and just stayed in the hotel and watch Netflix? Or read a book? Anything but go out and get plastered."
Still blaming herself, she walked to the end corner booth and tried enjoying her breakfast.
As she was about to head for the next round of dishes, to her surprise, she found Hajun sitting at a table in the hotel's breakfast buffet. He looked up, his eyes widening in recognition.
"Ana," he said, his voice filled with surprise. "I didn't expect to see you here."
Ana smiled. "Neither did I. I was just about to leave."
Hajun tried stopping her, "Why don't you join me? Are you rushing? Do you have an appointment?" Ana did not bother to avoid Hajun, she sat down and continue eating what's left on her plate. Even though she felt embarrassed and what might he think about her after last night.
They spent the next few minutes chatting over breakfast, the awkwardness of the previous night fading away.
"So, Ana," Hajun began, "what brought you to Korea?"
"Business trip and just visiting," she replied. "I'm here to unwind, and destress. Korea feels like home to me. I've always been fascinated by Korean culture, and I keep coming back here whenever I feel lost and need to breathe."
"That's cool," Hajun said. "I'm glad you're enjoying your stay."
"I am," Ana replied. "I've been having a blast. I've already seen a few concerts and visited some of the tourist attractions."
As they continued to talk, they discovered that they had a lot in common. They both loved music, movies, and traveling. They also shared a passion for learning new things.
"I've always wanted to learn Korean," Ana said. "I've tried a few times, but I've never been able to stick with it."
"I could help you," Hajun offered. "I'm pretty good at Korean."
"Right, of course, you are!" Ana exclaimed. "And that would be great."
"I'd love to teach you," Hajun said. "We could meet up or call each other a few times a week. How long will you be here for?"
"That sounds perfect and I am here for another 2 weeks, visiting other places and back to Singapore" Ana replied.
As they finished their breakfast, they exchanged phone numbers and made plans to meet up again soon.
"Ana, about last night..." Hajun hesitated to open up about what happened.
"As awkward as it may sound, we are both adults, I enjoyed last night, it was amazing, but I don't think there is more to it. It was just one night. Let's keep it at that." Ana answered.
Hajun smiled and nodded, "OK, if we are good, then I am fine with that."
As they parted ways, they both knew that their encounter was far from over. Their first meeting, a supposed one-night stand, had ignited a spark that would change their lives forever.
