Chapter 8: The Queen and her Royal Guard

Me, Yen and Ari were getting closer to the border of the kingdom of Olymp. As we approached, I asked Ari.

(Canji) " Ari, how is it in the kingdom of Olymp and why are we heading there of all places?

Why not the Roning kingdom in the west instead?"

(Ari) "The kingdom of Olymp is divided into 3 realms: the Wave, Underground, and Sky each ruled by 1 of the 3 princes who divided the kingdom between themself" The underground is located near our border. The wave is on the Tyranian ocean coast and this is our quickest way to the Dark continent. And the sky realm in which the capital Olympia resides is at the center between those 2 realms."

(Yen) ah, I see, so our aim is to go to the wave realm and get a boat that gets us to the dark continent.

(Ari) Well it is not that simple, the dark continent is dangerous and there are some special rules as to who can travel there. You can't just get a boat and swim there; the Knight of the Sun from the Daybreak watch won't allow you through.

(Canji) Ahhhh, I heard about the order of the Sun Knights who reside in the Wall in the middle of the Tyrenian Ocean. Their task is to supervise the dark continent and protect the 4 kingdoms from the danger that might come from there.

(Yen) What are the rules for who can enter there?

(Ari) I tell you in time, let's focus on getting to the wave realm first.

(Yen and Canji) "Yes Mam '' and so as we approached we saw a big black wall that served as a border defense of the Olymp kingdom and the entrance to the realm of the underground. But we saw a huge camp of people from our kingdom who survived and were trying to get to the Olymp kingdom. They were begging for permission, but the guards did not respond. I could see there were at least a few thousand survivors here. I was happy that some people survived. I looked at Ari and she stopped and tried to hold her tears. She looked determined and told us

(Ari) "Yen, Canji, I am the ruler and protector of our people now since my mother and father are dead. And it is my duty to ensure the safety and well-being of those who still live. Can I count on your help with that as well?"

(Yen) Did you forget we swore loyalty to you? And beside these are our people, of course we will help.

(Canji) "Yes, we will follow you to the end Princess" I told her with a big grin. She smiled back at me and said

(Ari) "If that is the case, then I will have no other choice." me and Yen looked confused as she walked off to pick something from the ground. She picked a medium sized stick and moved towards us with it

(Ari) "Yen, Canji kneel down," she said in a demanding tone. We looked at each other and did what she asked of us. She put the stick first on my shoulder and then on my brother.

(Ari) "As a prin.. no As a queen of the kingdom of mangas I Ari Mang nominate you Yen and Canji Burst to the Royal Guard Knight. Now tell me, do you swear to protect our people and our country to the end of your life?

After those words I finally understood what was happening. We were being made knights of our kingdom and not only to any knights but the royal guard itself the highest order of knights that are under the king and queen direct command my eyes were wide from shock i never dreamed of becoming a knight since i was useless in a fight how could i even be one. I looked at my brother. He was crying and with a sobbing voice he screamed, (Yen) "I swear! You won't regret this decision, I'm gonna become worthy of the title of royal guard. i looked at

Ari and decided to swear as well

(Canji) I swear that even though I am not a fighter I will be useful to you and our people. I looked at Ari and she smiled

She gestured with her hand to the sky and told us to rise

(Ari) "Rise my knights our first business is to head to the camp and help our people."

So we headed towards camp. And we met on the entrance some knights that were stationed there for protection. They asked us who we are but in the second they kneeled before Ari and told her that there are 5000 of civilians and around 2000 knights that survived in which they all were under the command of general Olaf who made sure that these people would cross safely to the border of Olymp. Ari understood the situation and walked with us into the camp in that moment people started to notice us or rather her and people were swarming us they started to scream Princess what gonna happen to us? Where is the King? Is this our end Princess? Are we all gonna die?

She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. She raised her hand. At that moment everyone sat in silence and kneeled in front of her. The only one standing was me and Yen besides her. She slowly opened her eyes and gave a speech.

(Ari) " I am Ari Mang The Queen of the Kingdom of Mangas! My people don't worry our kingdom is still standing as long as we have you! The heart of every Kingdom lies with its citizens. So yes we are still standing and our fight ain't over yet. I promise you I will keep your life safe and we are gonna avenge everyone who died at the hand of these invaders. And free those in capture! So don't panic and rest for now I will personally negotiate our entrance to the kingdom of Olymp with the leader of the underworld domain. I will make sure we are granted a safe entry and a place to live. As long as our kingdom isn't saved and the invaders aren't eliminated.!"

Everyone started cheering for long live the Queen and long live Mangas. After witnessing all that, I got chills on my body and I knew we would succeed.
