Chapter 17 : Show me what you got part 2

(Max) Damn, I wanted to get some hits. You are amazing, Ari.

(Ari) Thank you, you weren't bad. I like your confidence in yourself but sometimes being cautious about your opponents ability and strength can be life saving. You thought you could take me down before I could punch you.

The better option would be to create distance and doge since I am unable to change direction in mid-air. Once I did jump you should have just gotten away from me and tried to shoot me down while I am falling to the ground.

Max bowed down and thanked her for the fight. It was a very valuable lesson for him. Ari was ready for her next opponent Yen and Jop were sweating after all i don't think they believed they could do better than Max.

(Ari) So who wants to play next?

(Yen) Alr, I do it.

Yen transformed into his minotaur form

(Yen Thoughts) Alr i direct approach won't do it for me she is faster and more agile i prolly couldn't even land a punch on her so im gonna do for the finish right from the start.

Yen took a stance like a bull, he was planning to rush at her with his horns.

(Ari Thoughts) Oh Yen everyone can see what you're gonna do. Well it's time to end this quickly then.

Ari used her dark energy focus hands. They both looked at each other and in that instant Yen jump rushed towards her.

(Yen) Bulls rush

Ari saw it coming, so she jumped above and catched Yen's horns in mid air above him. She slammed Yen with his horns to the ground with big force so that the horns and Yen got stuck in the earth. After that Yen was conscious but he couldn't get his horns out of the earth; his only choice was to turn back to human. As a result, he gave up since he would be defeated either way.

(Yen) Yep, I'm stuck. I lost in seconds.

(Ari) Yen should not use such an attack. If you want to use it you have to make sure your opponent doesn't see your plan. The rush with horns was obvious. I want you to train your Bulls rush with only your feet, not by getting into a bull position. Imo you need to lean a bit forward with the right head move and then bull rush at your opponent. This would be an effective surprise since they couldn't predict it or at least it would be more difficult to do so.

Yen understood it even though it would be hard to jump from 2 feet at that angle but he is motivated to master it.

( Yen) I will make it happen Ari

(Jop) I guess im last then.

He transformed into a Grimmreaper they both took stances

(Ari Thoughts) Hmm... I wonder what to expect. He fled the enemy commander so it might be interesting here.

(Jop Thoughts) OK so far the direct approach didn't work for Max nor did the surprise well kinda surprise attack from Yen.

I think I'm using my bones spike. She will probably use her jumping powers to jump towards me for a strike. My most powerful weapon right now is my soulless breath. It is close range and a true surprise attack. I did it to darth vendor. I have a chance.

(Jop) Spike bones

The spikes bones emerged from the ground and rushed at Ari. At that moment she focused her dark energy in her feet and hands. She jumped towards Jop with speed and force. She was close to his face and swung for a punch but in that moment Jop.

(Jop) Soulless breath

Jop froze Aris' hand with an ice breath but that didn't stop her she punched him with her frozen fist sending Jop flying her fist did shatter tho and Jop while feeling the punch stood up Ari followed then with another attack. (Ari) Dark Energy Tempest kick

a huge cut of dark energy traveled at Jop he tried to block it with his spike bones but all of them got cut it was too fast for him to deal with it he got cut in half. Ari followed up again and she rushed at the cut in half Jop she quickly crushed his head with a stomp kick, feet surrounded with dark energy.

Jop lost but he did take her arm. We were all impressed.

After the blue light healed them and brought Jop back to life Ari shared her wisdom with him.

(Ari) Well done. Truly impressive but you don't use your full potential yet, we will change that.

1. In addition to appearing from the ground, your bone spikes might also serve as shooting spears since your myth gives you the ability to control bones.

2. Your ice breath. Why do you keep it short? Why not use it as a beam and distance attack? I'm sure you could extend it after all it is called a breath so instead of breathing it out try blowing it.

3. I think you are unaware that your myth also uses dark energy. We both are beings surrounded by darkness.

(Jop) What i can use that how do you know?

(Ari) Your dark energy cape is not clothing, it is materialized dark energy. You see many myths have powers over the elements like Max fire and your dark energy and Canji's light energy even though she also doesn't know it yet. Good work today guys. Tomorrow is the day we truly begin to prepare. And so our training began and we all trained for months. The results of our training will be shown while we try to become s rank adventures.
