"Hell yeah!" Maki cheered as a worker helped her put on the equipment for their date. Todoroki sighed, putting it on himself. Maki was a lot more excited than Todoroki for laser tag.
Todoroki has only played laser tag a handful of times and he's never found it fun. When he plays with his family it's too competitive and lazy and with the Dekusquad it's scary. Uraraka gets very... enthusiastic about laser tag. That's the only word he could think of to describe the short girl when playing the game.
"You ready?" Maki asked, walking up to her date. He nodded.
"Are you ready?" He returned the question. She smirked.
"Yeah, ready to kick your ass!" She giggled. The boy raised an eyebrow at that.
"Are you sure about that?" He asked her.
"Of course." She smiled. He couldn't help but return the smile.
The game started and the two were on opposite teams. Todoroki had a mom and a dad on his team and Maki had two kids on hers.
"Yo! Lady!" One of the kids pupled on her skirt. She raised an eyebrow, looking down at the kid.
"I have a name, but what."
"Follow our lead. You're our back up!" The kid told her. She smiled amd patted his head.
"We got this! We are so gonna win!" She giggled. The kid s,iled and nodded. He ran off to tell his friend the plan. She smiled softly at the children. She remembered being that small, ha ginger out with her brother. She sighed, feeling nostalgic.
"Players. Start in three... two... one!"
Todoroki branched off from his teammates, searching for a certain black haired girl. While he did that, Maki got to work. She followed the kids, using her height over them to see up ahead. They were surprisingly doing very well.
Soon, the three came across the parents. The kids did war cries and shot at their parents. Maki couldn't help but laugh at the children. They were just so cute.
"Got you." Todoroki said, coming up from behind her. Todoroki shot her, making her gasp.
"Lady!" The kids shouted running over to Maki. She pretended to be wounded. The kids gasped and shot Todoroki, making Maki laugh.
"That was a cheap trick." Todoroki said, helping her up. The kids scurried off top their parents, shooting at them. She giggled.
"I can't help it if I got fans." She said. He rolled his eyes.
"I have a question." Todoroki spoke up.
"Go ahead." She nodded at him.
"What do couples do on dates? Like, other than stuff like this."
"Hmm." Maki thought about it. She blushed, looking up at him. He stared at her as she stood on her tippy toes, kissing his cheek.
"We've done that already." He said. Her blush grew deeper.
"Well, yeah but... um..." She trailed off.
"Well what?" He asked.
"Got you?" She shot him. His eyes widened.
"Yo! Lady, stop flirting with your boyfriend amd play the game!" The kids yelled.
"Well, you heard them." She winked at him before joining the kids. Todoroki stood their, his hearting drumming against his chest. He didn't know what she was doing to him but he liked it.
"94 more to go..."
