"Many centuries ago, magic jewels bestowing extraordinary powers were created. These were... the Miraculous. Throughout history, heroes have used these jewels for the good of the human race. Two of these Miraculous are more powerful than the others; the earrings of the Ladybug, which provide the power of creation; and the ring of the Black Cat, which grants the power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both these jewels at the same time, will achieve absolute power." a purple butterfly Kwami said.

A tall, sinister figure stood in a dark room, surrounded on all sides by shadows and white glowing butterflies. In his hand sat a purple brooch, barely the size of a grape, that held a faded photograph of a blond haired woman with green eyes

"I want that absolute power, Nooroo. I must have those Miraculous!" he stated, closing the brooch.

"But nobody knows where these Miraculous are!" Nooroo protest.

"I found you though, my little Nooroo." the man chuckled and Nooroo hummed regretfully and nodded. "Your Miraculous... remind me of its powers again."

"The Moth Brooch allows you to give someone their own superpowers and to make that person your devoted follower!"

The man softly rubbed on the brooch and replied with an evil satisfaction. "And when it comes to luring superheroes, what could be better than creating supervillains?"

The butterfly Kwami eyes widen. "But master, the Miraculous are not meant to be used for evil purposes!" he tried to reason with him.

But it didn't work, it anger the man as he stamped a foot on the floor, sending the white butterflies around him into the air.

"I must have this absolute power! Your Miraculous is in my control!" the man exclaimed angrily then pointed at him. "I am your master now, and you must obey me."

Nooroo looked terrified but bowing sadly at his new owner. "Yes, master."

The man puts on the brooch and said. "Nooroo, dark wings rise!

The white butterflies in the air surrounded the man, enveloping him completely as Nooroo was drawn into the brooch. When the butterflies dispersed, he stretched out his arms, revealing a violet suit adorned with a butterfly motif, along with a silver mask shielding his face.

"From this day forth, I shall be known as Hawkmoth!" he declared, laughing evilly.

At the same time.

In another part of the city, a green, turtle-like Kwami suddenly stirs awake and senses that something is amiss.

"Master, Master!" he cried out, zipping out of the gramophone that contained his bed. "I-"

He stood frozen, realizing far too late that his master was in the middle of treating a client.

"What?" the customer queried, slowly lifting his head.

"Master, master..." his master hummed, trying to mask the interruption. "Chanting, it's all part of the treatment. Master, master."

He hurriedly escorted the customer out, despite the client's protests.

"Thank you for coming; see you again next week!"

"But wait, I..." the customer began, but his words were cut off as the master closed the door.

"Master, the butterfly Miraculous!" the green Kwami exclaimed. "I felt its aura."

The master's eyes widen significantly as he processed the gravity of what the green creature had just said. "I thought it had been lost forever!"
