The feeling of weightlessness surrounded her. Her mind grasped at the edges of her last memory—a blur of flashing lights, the screech of metal, and then nothing. She had been alive, hadn't she? But now, in this place between life and death, everything was cold, numb, and empty. She tried to move, but found herself drifting, bodiless, in an endless expanse of darkness. Her thoughts were distant, fragments of a life that felt further away with each passing second.
Death wasn't something she feared. She had lived fiercely, never bending to the will of others. A powerful woman in every sense of the word, one who didn't rely on anyone. She had fought for everything she had, standing tall as the master of her own fate. Yet, now, in this quiet oblivion, her fate seemed far beyond her control.
Suddenly, a warmth began to swell in the void, cutting through the cold like a soft glow in the distance. The light grew stronger, until it enveloped her entirely, pulling her from the darkness. The sensation was calming, like slipping into a gentle dream.
She blinked and found herself standing in a space that felt more real, though otherworldly in its beauty. It was a room, bathed in an ethereal glow, with colors she couldn't quite place. Before her, stood a woman, but not just any woman—there was something divine about her presence. Tall and impossibly graceful, she exuded power, beauty, and an undeniable allure.
The woman's hair cascaded in shimmering waves, her eyes reflecting the stars themselves. Her figure was voluptuous, her every movement captivating. She approached with a smile that radiated both affection and possessiveness, her eyes locking onto her guest.
"You're awake," the woman said, her voice melodic, yet rich with a depth of emotion that made the air hum. "I've been waiting for you."
The nameless woman blinked, still trying to grasp her surroundings. "Who... are you? Where am I?"
The goddess, for there was no other word that fits, stepped closer, her eyes tracing over her guest with an intensity that was both flattering and unnerving. "You've left the mortal plane. Your time there has ended, but that doesn't mean your story is over. I've watched you for longer than you could ever imagine. You... intrigue me."
Her guest remained silent, unsure of how to respond. She had always been the one in control, but here, in the presence of this divine being, she felt vulnerable in a way that was foreign to her.
The goddess reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair away from the woman's face. "You don't have to be afraid. I've brought you here for a reason." Her voice softened, almost tender. "You were too extraordinary to be left to fade into nothingness. Your strength, your will—it's rare, and I can't bear the thought of a soul like yours being lost."
"What... do you want from me?" the woman asked, her voice steady, though her mind raced with questions.
The goddess's smile widened, her eyes glimmering with something akin to adoration. "I want to give you everything you deserve, my love." The words rolled off her tongue with a possessive sweetness. "A new life—one where you can have anything you desire. Power, wealth, beauty... no limits, no restrictions. All you need to do is accept."
A part of her wanted to resist, to reject the offer, but there was something so compelling about the goddess's voice, the promise of something more. She had always been someone who thrived in power, who rose above everyone around her. To be given a chance at a new life, with no boundaries... how could she refuse?
"And what do you get out of this?" she asked, not willing to give in so easily.
The goddess's expression softened, a flicker of vulnerability passing through her eyes. "I want to be with you," she admitted. "I've watched you for so long, admired your strength, your determination. I want to be by your side, to help you, to love you." She paused, as if considering her next words. "You don't have to be mine alone. I know someone like you could never be tied down. If you choose to have others, I'll accept it, no matter where I stand in your heart. But I would be honored if I could be one of them—whether I'm the first, the second, or the last."
The woman stared at the goddess, taken aback by the sincerity in her words. The sheer devotion was overwhelming. She had never imagined someone, let alone a goddess, would be willing to break the rules of Heaven just for her sake. But there was no mistaking it—the goddess was offering herself completely, with no strings attached, no jealousy, just an unwavering desire to be part of her life.
"Why me?" she asked quietly.
The goddess stepped even closer, her hand resting lightly on the woman's arm. "Because you're everything I've ever wanted. Strong, independent, fierce. You're the definition of perfection in my eyes." Her voice dropped to a whisper. "And I will do anything to make you happy."
For a moment, the woman hesitated, torn between the weight of the offer and the unknowns that lay ahead. But the power, the freedom—it was all too tempting. She had been in control once, and she would be again. With a new life, she could have everything she had ever dreamed of, and more.
"Alright," she said finally, her voice firm. "I'll take your offer."
The goddess's smile was radiant, and without another word, she waved her hand, and the world around them began to blur. "Then it's settled. You'll be reincarnated, with all the power and wealth you could ever want. A week from now, your new life will begin. And when the time comes, I will find you again, my love."
As the light around her faded, the woman felt herself being pulled back, the promise of a new beginning coursing through her. And though she didn't know what awaited her in this new world, she knew one thing for certain—she would rise to the top once more, and nothing would stand in her way.
The woman's resolve hardened as the last remnants of light faded, her thoughts sharpening like a blade. In this new life, she would do whatever it took to seize control. Her past had taught her that power was never handed over—it had to be taken, claimed by force or cunning, and she was more than willing to play whatever game was needed to win. There was no room for weakness or hesitation. She would rise to the top again, no matter the obstacles, and those who stood in her way would soon learn that she was unstoppable.
