Aastha's eyes widened in surprise, her body stiffened and breath stuck in her throat when Reyansh sub consciously wrapped his arms around her, too gently to her liking.
She didn't struggle as she was too busy comprehending what really happened. She had seen Reyansh getting touchy but the way he is hugging her now is different in many ways.
Ritik also got squeezed in between them. Poor boy tried to look up at Aastha but he was stuck in between his parents.
Reyansh softly pull her head to his chest. She could hear his heart thudding abnormally. Gulping down a lump, Aastha stayed like that.
Seconds passed, Reyansh had closed his eyes feeling her close to him. It soothes him down in a different manner. And now Aastha tried freeing herself. Maybe Reyansh was too lost in the world which he never got to see.
Finally, Ritik squirmed feeling congested for long time and that made Reyansh snapped out from his trance. He widened his eyes a bit in surprise and pull himself back, hesitantly averting his eyes here and there.
To not make things more awkward, Aastha took her plate and started eating, while feeding Ritik in between.
"Our reception event will start in an hour. So get ready or you want stylists. I'll tell Ragini -----
"No need. I can manage. Moreover, I am that one lucky woman who gets to know about her reception an hour ago".
She cut him off with a mocking tone.
Then it hits him. He actually didn't inform about their reception from his own mouth to Aastha. And now Aastha will be taunting about this one thing for days. She holds grudges for a long period.
"I thought I might've told you about this. You'll be meeting your family there".
Reyansh replied blankly and got up leaving the room, his mind clouded with swirling thoughts of what he did few minutes ago. He was never like this, he was never this soft to anyone. Is this some kind of reaction? Or maybe an affect.
