Annalise took a deep breath as she got prepared to tell the truth to her family. "Is this the only way? They will be hurt" Her demonic mother said with a soft sigh. "I know... But i can't keep them in this lie forever. They need to know.. That the real empress is no more" Annalise said with determination. She settled her gown.

The demon, still disguised as the Empress, watched as Annalise prepared for the difficult conversation. "Are you sure about this, darling? It's been years since your true mother's passing, and I've played the part of the Empress all this time."

Annalise squared her shoulders, her determination unwavering. "I am sure," she replied firmly. "It's time they know the truth, no matter how painful it will be."

The demon sighs. "So, will i be escorted out of this castle now? Even so, we were enemies all these years, i still want to care for both you and your sister, Anna"

Annalise paused, not anticipating the demon's unexpected words of care. "I never expected you to actually have any concern for us," she admitted, her voice softer than usual. "After all we've been through, why do you suddenly care about Daisy and me?"

"You were just 11 when you lost your mother and asked me to be your mom. You were so small and ready to take responsibilities for all this. I have always admired your strength, dear. I know i have made a lot of mistakes earlier, but i want to make amend for them. I wish to stay as your mother even if i can't live here with you."

Annalise was taken aback by the demon's confession, her heart softening despite her previous feelings of animosity towards her. "You... actually care about us?" she asked incredulously. "But you've been so cruel all these years, never showing any affection. Why change now?"

"I have realized it that being cruel won't take me to anything. And even so, secretly i had always cared for you both. When Daisy found about her natural powers, i was genuinely happy for her. I always loved you both deep down even if i never got the courage to admit it." The demon said softly.

Annalise's eyes widened, a mixture of shock and surprise on her face. "You've always cared, deep down..." she repeated softly. "I can't believe it. You've held your true feelings all these years, hidden behind acts of coldness and cruelty."

A few moments of silence passed as Annalise absorbed this revelation, her mind swirling with conflicting emotions.

"Go ahead, dear. Tell your family about the truth. They deserve to know"

Annalise took a deep breath, steadying her emotions. "You're right," she said resolutely. With a nod to the demon, she gathered her courage and set out to find her family, prepared to reveal the truth that had been hidden for so long.

King Thomas sat comfortably in his chambers, his attention focused on his daughter Daisy who was sitting quietly nearby. The room was filled with a comfortable silence, broken only by the soft sound of the crackling fireplace.

Annalise enters the room followed by the demon disguised as her mother. Daisy smiled widely at them. "Ah where were you two? I have been waiting for you" She rushed to hug her mother.

Annalise smiled weakly as Daisy embraced the demon, unable to fully enjoy the moment knowing what was about to come. The demon hugged her back, trying to act normal despite the impending revelation. "We were just having a little talk, my dear," the demon replied, patting Daisy's head affectionately.

Annalise sat in front of them. "I have something important to tell you both, daisy, father. This might shock you but..." She trailed off, looking at the demon who nods her head with a sympathetic smile.

King Thomas raised an eyebrow, sensing the gravity in Annalise's voice. "What is it, my child?" he asked, his tone concerned. Daisy looked at Annalise with wide, innocent eyes, waiting expectantly.
