Dear Diary,

Every girl in this world needs a man who loves her, cares for her, respects her. Isn't it? These days, we are so eager to act like men and women are not co-dependent but in reality, we all are dependent on each other for life, family, and..-

Love.

I also expect the same from life.
Is it too wrong to expect this mere thing, in today's world?!

It has been years since He has been away from this marriage. In fact, apart from the news channels I have never seen him after our wedding ceremony. I hardly remember him now. But sometimes I wonder...

What He is doing? When will He return? Does He miss me like I do? Does He ever think of me?

In the split of the moment, the phone began to ring.. Your attention diverted to it.. Keeping the pen on the pages of your diary you picked the call up.

"y/n are you coming or not?" without waiting for you to say anything she exploded on you.. You huffed. You knew she doesn't like to get late and now since you were late, you knew she won't spare you, and eat you out through the phone call only.

"Yes.. Maria, just give me a minute" and you hung up the call "she's crazy" you chuckled and looked at your diary.

Sighed.

Your eyes were stuck on the words that you just wrote,

Does he ever think of me?

"Does he hate me this much?" you murmured, your heart went heavy for the fourth time this day.

You stayed there. Holding your diary for a few more seconds, peering the words in it, and turning your pages back.
You turned and turned and turned and realized...

None of my days went well this year!

How cruel the world is that it doesn't let you to have a day that you deserve, in which you would have felt content in your heart.

At last,

You closed your diary and kept it on your nightstand and rushed out of your villa, not yours though but your Husband's. You put a velvety bottle green warm coat so that the chilling winters won't bore into your skin and matching stilettos with your beige dress

~ at the graveyard~

"I miss you dad" you softly murmured and tears trickled down your cheeks. Your hand caressed the tomb of your father and your eyes glued to it. Maria, your best friend patted your shoulder "he loves you, y/n. Don't be upset"

"I hope we could spend some more time together. Come back dad, your y/n needs you " you kissed the tomb, not wanting to let go of it.

"He loves you as much as you love him, y/n" Maria said. You smiled and hugged her tightly "thanks for everything, Maria" .

You were so vulnerable that you could burst into tears any moment now... you were going through the toughest phase of your life, when you had no one beside you. Neither parents nor husband... if he is count one. You never wanted to live a life this way. NEVER.

But life is always unexpected and filled with turns that might lead to blunt ends. And right now you were there, at the blunt end. All alone with no one on your side.

No one.

But there's always a person that God sends in the time of need. And that person for you was Maria.
