Fatima:Lets go home im off early

Zac:You know, I think we should get that Italian takeout for dinner. The one with the truffle oil pasta?
Fatima:You know, what that don't sound like a bad idea
They reach the apartment door, and Zac pulls out his keys.
As Zac unlocks the door, the atmosphere shifts. Fatima notices a shadow moving inside through the frosted glass window.
Fatima: (frowning) Zac? Did you leave the light on?
Zac pauses, a hint of confusion flickering across his face. He opens the door to reveal their cozy living room—but something feels off. The air is heavy, and a familiar silhouette is standing near the couch. It's Karen, flipping through Fatima's photo albums.
Karen:(looking up, feigning innocence) Oh! I didn't think you'd be back so soon!
Fatima's expression hardens, while Zac's face goes pale, a mix of surprise and dread
Zac: (stammering) Karen! What are you doing here?
Karen: (smirking a little) I just wanted to check on things and see how you've been. Didn't expect to find you with... (glancing at Fatima) company.
Fatima steps forward, arms crossed protectively over her chest.
Fatima: (firmly) You're in our apartment, Karen. You don't just check on things without permission.
Karen:Our? Are you sure about that?
Fatima: Im 100% sure
Zac runs a hand through his hair, clearly uncomfortable, unsure of how to diffuse the tension.
Zac: (trying to stay calm) Karen, this isn't okay. You can't just come in like this. We're busy.
Karen: (sighing dramatically) I know, I know. But I just thought we could talk. It seems like there's a lot to catch up on.
Fatima rolls her eyes, stepping closer to Zac, who looks very annoyed with karen
Fatima: (with a pointed glare) Zac and I don't need to catch up with you. This is our home. You need to leave.
Zac: Yeah, Karen. It's time for you to go before she lays her hands on you.
Karen's smile falters, and she takes a half-step back, her bravado breaking.
Karen: (voice softening) I just... I just came to see if there was still something there between us.
Zac: (steadily) There isn't, Karen. I'm with Fatima now, and I'm happy. It's time for you to respect that.
Fatima squeezes Zac's hand, showing her support. The atmosphere is charged with tension as Karen processes what he said.
Karen: (defeated sigh) Fine. I'll go. But just know, I'm not giving up that easily.
She walks towards the door, pausing for a moment to look back at Zac, her eyes searching for something. But Zac, resolute, stands firm beside Fatima.
Fatima: (clearly) You should really leave now, Karen if you love your life.
With one last look, Karen exits the apartment, leaving a heavy silence in her wake. Once the door closes, Zac turns to Fatima, emotions swirling.
