Brielle Mae Collins lost her mum when she was sixteen, no her mum did not die, but Brielle's mother left the family after having an affair with another man. It was left up to her father to raise both her and her younger sister Ava. Known to most as Bree, and some as just B. Brielle could be described as pretty, but after going through these things, people see her as damaged. Sure strangers notice, her petite face, her delicate features, chestnut brown eyes, and her brown hair, how it seems to hold a natural red tinge or flair. However below the surface, the people close to her say she's wearing thin, that she could break down, or fall apart, just like her younger sister did.

Brielle's sister, Ava is four years younger, but entirely different to Brielle, in both looks and personality. At the age of fourteen, two years after her mother left, Ava Collins made the first attempt on her life. She overdosed heavily, and doctors say she was lucky to survive. Since then she has changed, on account of medication and several doctors' visits and many therapist sessions later.

Brielle's father, David, although he tried his best, he always felt that he had failed his daughters. never was he able to get enough time off work, to watch the girls sporting events, or piano recitals, because he had to make sure there was food on the table. He had to learn the hard way, trying to cope with two teenage girls in the house. Things were tough on him, even more so when Ava tried to take her own life, things were always on the edge. Along with the fact that he was still, hurting because of his wife's betrayal, his life was a sorry one indeed. However he stuck it out, always put on a smile, because of the girls. He always thought, that if their mother wasn't going to be there then, he would have too.

After finishing her senior year, at eighteen, Bree, took on a part time office position, while studying for her teachers qualifications at the same time. Along with that she was still in her relationship with, her high school sweetheart, Kurt Phillips, however Kurt left, not the relationship, but for Iraq. Kurt did this in order to gain a free university education, applied to serve a year in Iraq.

With Kurt away, Bree, really missed his gorgeous half smiles, his bright blue eyes, and his waved blonde hair. Most of all she missed his voice. The way he would say 'I love you' at every chance he had, and he would always, always mean it.

Bree never denied that she was madly in love with Kurt. But with him being away, for a year maybe more, it really put a strain on their tone of 'Love.'

Phone calls are never enough, although it was his voice through the earpiece, it will always seem masked by the static sound waves.

Text messages, only seem to rot, the sweet intended words of undying love. It is certain that someone famous once said, 'It is better to say things of meaning, in person, rather than to ever convey them at all.'

Brielle missed Kurt terribly and she knew that relationships, were not meant to be so strained.
