16 - I knew it

I was still smiling like an idiot, since I said bye to him. Like... I officially had a BOYFRIEND now!! I was so happy he asked, cause I knew we both wanted to date each other.

When I entered the house all 4 of them, Aurora, Gavi and their parents, were sitting in the living room, watching some football match. I noticed it was Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid. They all looked at me as they noticed me.

Belen said "Oh hi Sam!!" "Hi everyone" I said back, quickly running up the stairs, instantly going to my room to think about everything that happened tonight. When I changed my clothes to my fav sweatpants and a baggy hoodie Aurora walked into my room.

"Hi girlll." she said with a smirk. "So? What happened? Don't even try to lie, I can see that something happened between you too from your face. You literally look like a little kid when it gets a treat."

"Yeah well, Diego kinda asked me out..." I said. Her eyes lighted up immediately. "Oh my goood! I suppose you said yes!" I nodded. "You have to tell me everything!"

We both sat on my bed, leaning against the back of it, as I was telling her everything that happened. The dinner, then the walk and how Diego asked. "I still can't believe it happened, I'm so happyyy." I ended my monologue. Aurora was a really empathetic person, so she was so happy for me. She seemed almost as happy as I was, and I loved that on her. As soon as I met her, I knew I'd be able to tell her anything and I'd always feel that she understands me.

Later we both went down to get some snacks and we ended up at the sofa watching the match. Belen asked "So what happened with Diego?" "Yeah uhm.. well, he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes." As soon as I said it, I started smiling again. The parents were both really happy for me, both said their omgs.

I don't know why, but I kinda waited for some reaction from Gavi. He didn't even looked at me, his eyes locked on the TV, as he said "I told you you were JUST friends, as you insisted." He said it in his usual cold tone. I stopped smiling. I didn't get his cold behaviour. But h was always like that so.

When the match ended, the parents went to sleep so there was only me, Gavi and Aurora left inthe living room. I was speaking to Aurora about some unnecessary stuff and Gavi was just on his phone, texting his gf. My phone started ringing. It was my Moms name.

I excused myself and went to the kitchen. On my way to there I picked up the phone.

'Hi Mom.'

'Hey Sam, how are you doing?'

I told her everything that's happened since we last spoke, the biggest thing was the one with D of course.

She was happy for me, and said that she would tell my sister and father. So I knew I could expect at least one more call soon, from Soph. Then Mom said

'Look Sam, we really like it here, and since Sofia has gap year now and we both can work from here... that we could stay for a bit more. We got a great apartment and the owner said we could stay for like 3 more months? Home on Christmas? I'm sorry.'

Oh. I clearly didn't expect that.

'Yeah Mom, that sounds great. That's really nice.'

Just a half of me agreed with that. I wanted them back, and didn't want to live with mr. annoying Pablo anymore. But I really wanted them to enjoy it and since they had the opportunity...

'Of course if it's not a problem for you. But you're doing great with Gaviras, aren't you?'

'Yeah I am.'

'Alright. Of course I have to ask Belen if it's not a problem, but I think she is okay with it.'

'Yeah, just enjoy it Mom, I'm so happy for y'all.'

Then we just said our goodbyes and all and ended the call. I was really happy for them, I was.

I came back to the living room.

"What did you mom say?"

Aurora asked.

"Yeah uhm... I guess you'll have me stuck here for a bit longer..."

I didn't know what their reactions will be like, especially Gavi's. He rolled his eyes.

"Great."

He said simply with a cold tone.

"Gavi!" Aurora shouted at him. "Sam of course that's good news! I love having you here, so does my parents and so does Pablo."

It was more of an order to Pablo.

I quickly hugged her and went to my room. I just layed in my bed, I knew I wasn't able to sleep, didn't know why. After a while spended on my phone I decided to go out for a walk. I went down the stairs and Gavi was still sitting on the sofa. He heard me or I don't know, looked at me and said "Where are you going?"

No cold tone?

"I couldn't sleep so I'm going out for a walk."

"Can I join you?"

Wait... what?

"Ehh... I mean yeah of course."
