Ivy started to run the other way she was running like never before. With all her sibling behind her. They found themselves in a maze. The group couldn't see the monster anymore but could still that awful noise "Screeeeeeeeee"
"Hey guys come look at this, it's a sign" Lily said
"Its says nothing is here" Rose examined while tapping the sign. "Hey I think something is behind this sign" she proposed.
"Srceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Srceeeeeeeeeeee"
Ivy headed towards the sign. She lifted it up. There was a passageway behind the sign! Ivy thought. "Everyone get in" Ivy yelled.
Rowan jumped in first, Rose and Lily followed after which left Ivy alone. She got in but did not catch up with the others right away she made sure that the sign was closed before she did. The room was very dark but then Ivy remembered that in the crate, they had found earlier, had a lantern in it and Lily had grabbed it.
"Lily do you still have that lantern that was in the crate?" Ivy asked.
"Yes, I do have it!" Lily replied very jubilant.
"Perfect" Rowan exclaimed. Ivy could hear Lily fidgeting with the lantern and within a couple of seconds there was light.
Ivy was surprised at what she saw. It looked like a home but in a cave. Rowan grabbed the lantern and started walking with everyone following behind.
"Guys I'm hungry" Lily stated. That made Ivy realize that she was starving as well.
"I guess we can eat now, we haven't heard anything besides ourselves" Rowan replied.
"Good I'm starving" Rose complained. They all sat down to eat while Rose took out a bag of food that they had found in the crate. They all started to eat and Ivy could see the content looks on her siblings faces. She felt very pleasant feeling too.
"Do you hear that?" Rowan questioned.
"I don't hear anything" Lily replied her voice now shaking. Ivy could hear it now it sounded like someone was coming towards them. The group shuffled to the corner and waited.
A figure! Ivy's mind screamed at her. Her head was reeling with thoughts was it the monster, someone else, who was it? The figure walked towards them. It was a girl! She looked a little older than the group but she wasn't an adult or at least not yet.
"Who are you!?" Rowan screamed more confused than scared. Unlike Rose and Lily who were about to scream their heads off.
"I'm Jingo... who are you?"The girl relied.
"Why should we tell?" Ivy confidently replied.
"Well you asked me and I replied so it would be rude for you not to" Jingo stated
"She has a point" Lily whispered to Ivy not sounding very scared anymore.
"Fine, I give up. I'm Rowan, this is Ivy, he said pointing at Ivy, that's Lily and she's Rose" Rowan yelled.
"Why are you still yelling?" Jingo asked trying to hold back a laugh.
"Uhm... I don't know" Rowan replied embarrassed.
"Well what are you doing here? Are you the new sacrifices?" Jingo asked.
"Yes we are" Lily replied before Ivy could.
"Well since you're here I'll tell you my plan. I've been living in these caves for a long time, I don't even remember how old I am and sometimes I forget my own name but that won't stop me. My plan is to escape! And I'm going to take you with me!" Jingo yelled.
"But how?" Rose questioned.
"I agree with Rose, how will we escape?" Ivy asked.
"We shall escape somehow, but I have lived in these caves for a long time like I said earlier and I think I might have found an opening to escape through" Jingo answered.
"Well we're with you!" Rowan announced.
"I never said that but I'll do anything to get out of these caves!" Lily whispered to Ivy.
