You and Minho were childhood sweethearts ever since you both met in highschool. you were either at his or he was at yours, you both ran around everywhere, it were if straight out of a movie pure bliss. But Minho had to move away at 16 to Japan for his dad's business, and it's was a horrible feeling for you both
"I'll-l miss you min..."
You mumbled into his shirt, stained with your tears as you wrapped around him at the airport hugging him tightly
"I-I know y/n...I don't think I'll ever return... please your life for me and don't stop-"
He said kissing the top of your head while his tears fell, as you cut him off
"Don't you dare! Minho! You know how much i love you and stop saying such bullshit! I don't care if I grow old with gray hair! I'll forever wait for you..."
Soon the announcement of departure of his plane
"You should go huh.."
i said slowly letting go of him, my scent still slightly lingering on him as he reluctantly pulled back aswell. He pecked my lips before painfully turing away tears vigorously rolling down
"I'll love you forever" he mumbled choking on tears, walking away as you just stood there crying as you muttered "I'll love you even more..." As your mother walked up comforting you. It was a painful site for anyone to see.
Time skip
You are currently 28 years working as a kindergarten teacher, today a new student joined "hi...lee su-yeon!" You waved crouching infront of the kid to get her into class as you read her name tag. "Hello pretty lady!" She said back in a cute toddler accent as she immediately fell in your arms, you chuckled at her cuteness as you took her to class making the kids get along. Like usual you dealt with toddlers and class, playing around and teaching them as everyday. After a hectic day it was time for departure, you took su-yeon's bag and walked her out as she ran up to a man "daddy!!" She said jumping into his arms. as you looked up at him
"Minho!?"
"Y/n?!"
You both exclaimed.before anyone could process anything you just handed her bag and ran away to the staff room as he stood there frozen. "Of course you're a fucking idiot for thinking he'd stay with that promise....hell does he even remember?....of course why would he, he isn't a loser like you!" You thought to yourself as tears welled up in your eyes faster then light, luckily noone there in the staffroom as your thoughts clouded and eyes red, your cheeks and nose swollen. You came to school the next day, hoping the makeup covered the puffy cheeks and your red nose as you left your house with a tear stained pillow, you ignored the pit in your stomach as you went on with your day, it was soon dismissal but you sat in the staff room going through papers distracting yourself to avoid anything at all costs. Soon your coworker came "hey y/n! Some guy gave a note for you" she said handing it to you
Dear y/n,
i know yesterday might have been a whirlwind but we need to talk. I heard you get off at 5pm, let's please meet at the café nearby at 6...I desperately need see you and clear up everything y/n... please I'm desperate.

You looked at note "oh uhm... thanks" you muttered to your coworker as you folded it and kept it in your pocket. You debated internally, your mind saying you shouldn't he was already married and had a kid....but your heart was too stubborn and alas won as you slightly fixed your makeup in the bathroom "this is fucking stupid..." You groaned to yourself "he already moved on y/n...what are you even doing!?" You mumbled Looking in the mirror shaking your head, you sighed picking up your bag and walking off to the café grumbling to yourself as you tried turning back but soon found yourself infront of the entrance "why am I even doing this?" You sighed entering. You looked around soon finding Minho in a corner as his gaze immediately fell on you he rushed from the seat, you sighed "damn it..." In a low breath walking over and sitting across him. Your heart ached as much as you possibly tried to shove the feeling away "hello..." You mumbled coldly looking at him folding your arms.
"Y/n....it's been so long..." He said looking intently at you his mouth involuntary tugging in to a small smile, his eyes glistening in the light ever so slightly. He had already placed the drinks on the table, it was your favourite..he still remembered.
"So?..... You wanted to 'clear up' something?" You said callously but your mouth twitched slightly into a minute smile involuntarily, leaning back into the chair grazing his features noticing small yet distinct changes as you took a sip. He nodded leaning back slightly grazing his eye to not let tears fall. "ah yeah....I need to clear everything up, uhm- su-yeon isn't my daughter actually y/n" he said nervously looking at you, you raised an eyebrow "what? I don't get it minho?" you said tilting your head your gaze piercing as he looked away. "Right let me explain..." He chuckled awkwardly "when I left to Japan, i made a friend..no even closer he was like a brother to me kang ha-jun. We were very close, his wife was a lovely woman kang si-woo and they had su-yeon together, they were a happy family..." He said letting a sharp exhale and looking back up to you "until two years ago that is. They met with a horrible car accident, it was a gruesome accident leaving them dead on the spot. But then i found out both him and his wife collectively decided to make me her gardian if anything happened to both of them, hell they even gave half their estate in my name..." He said playing with the straw of the drink taking another deep breath continuing "and I have a stable amount more than enough, i could raise a child well so I'm now su-yeon's father both legally....and morally I guess" he said looking up at you. You listened intently to each and every word he said processing everything as you stared at him silently following with a sharp exhale as you took his hand
"so you never?....."
"Never....it was only you"
"su-yeon seems like a great daughter min.... let's meet again"
