The sun was setting at this point, and the three of them had worked up an appetite. It was the perfect opportunity to get some shots sitting on the outdoor patio of this incredibly classy restaurant. Y/N's eyes widened when she saw the prices on the just the DRINKS menu, and suddenly she didn't feel hungry anymore.

The waiter came by and he seemed to be familiar with Xiangli. He really must have just known "a guy" everywhere. He asked for what they would be drinking, taking Yuanwu's order and then Y/N's. She decided she would stick with water, only to be taken aback when he asked if she wanted sparkling or still.

"Oh, um, just still please."

"Nonsense. She'll have the wine I had last time. And bring another glass of what Yuanwu is having for me." Xiangli told the waiter without glancing at her.

The waiter looked between the two of them and politely smiled, "Certainy, Sir. I'll bring them both for you ma'am."

Then came the menu with the all the appetizers and main courses and desserts and whatnot. "I'll eat at home." Y/N said with only once glance at the menu prices before shutting it.

Xiangli Yao looked up curiously from his menu, scanning her face. "Are you sick? Do you feel nauseous?"

"No, I feel fine, it's just a meal here costs me an equivalent to two shifts."

He looked confused, looking down at the menu and then back up at her, "Okay... and?"

She was baffled by his response. This was always an uncomfortable topic of conversation, especially around two men she barely knew. "A-and, I'll just eat at home. Not everyone falls under the same financial bracket as you."

"Oh, is that all? I'm paying, so get whatever you want."

Y/N thought back to her conversation with Mortefi, about how his half brother practically didn't know what to do with all the money he had. She was tempted to get the most expensive thing on the menu, just out of spite, but in the end went with whatever sounded the most delicious.

After a long day, they were backing their way back to the car, Yuanwu having left on his own.

Xiangli Yao was tall, and his strides were long, but she suprisingly didn't find it hard to keep up with his pace, even while in a pair of one of the heels he'd gotten her for todays photo session. "You know," Y/N said slowly, looking up at him, "We should probably have some selfies too. Couples always have selfies."

Xiangli made a face, clearly not thrilled with the idea, but sombrely nodded. "You might be right. It adds to the authenticity."

With a resigned sigh, Xiangli pulled out his phone. "Right here?" She asked, both of them stopping in their tracks. "What, you want to make today any longer?" He grumbled, his eyes tired.
