Chapter Ten Keneoue Mabasa The Steak Escape The next day|6:43PM
They are accompanied in the dimly lit restaurant that had wooden floors and walls. There were photos and awards around the walls and also it smelled mostly of steak.
The sweet and spicy smell of steak makes Keneoue's stomach to rumble and she looks at Jayden who chuckles at her.
They reach the round brown table,Jayden opens the chair for her before the waitress gives them a drink and meal menu.
She smiles at the waiter."Thank you."She mumbles and then looks at Jayden.
"Can we get two minutes before we order?"Jayden asks and and the waiter nods his head."What are you drinking?Don't copy me like the last time."
"Okay Jayden."Keneoue replies and he chuckles. She opens the menu, Jayden holds her hand and rubs her hand- something he has been doing for the last few days.
"What are we having?For drinks."Jayden asks and Keneoue chuckles.
"I want to drink juice- I have been drinking wine like it is water since Boitumelo enjoys it."Keneoue replies and Jayden nods his head.
She looks through the appetizer section and orders buffalo chicken wings while Jayden ordered grilled shrimp skewers.
For mains Jayden chooses a medium rare ribeye steak with mash potatoes while Keneoue ordered a buttery Filet Mignon with veggies and mash potatoes while adding cream spinach.
"That went well."Jayden says and Keneoue smiles."How are you feeling about meeting with the lawyer?"He asks, Keneoue tilts her head and shrugs her shoulders.
"I hope it goes well. But then I have a decision to make if I want to play Supergirl."Keneoue explains,playing with Keneoue's hand and traces Jayden's kunckles.
"How so?"
"Getting the law to look deeper into him and justice to be served. You know how I feel about gender based violence."Keneoue says and he nods his head.
"Think about it and regardless what decision you take,I am here to support you."Jayden says, kissing Keneoue's hand and she smiles.
Their food and drinks finally arrive, Keneoue takes her straw and tears the paper off the straw. She puts it in the juice glass, mixes it before taking a sip of the juice.
"Damn Keneoue."Jayden says,chuckles because Keneoue drank half the glass in almost one go."You want to get a brain freeze."
Keneoue smiles."I was thirsty."Keneoue says,taking a fork and eats her food.
She takes her knife,stabbing into the Filet Mignon and slices through it."Taste?"
"No thank you."She says and Jayden smacks his lips."You have a taste first."She says and Jayden smiles.
Jayden gives her a piece of the ribeye steak and she chews as she taste the rich spice inside the steak."This is good."He says and she nods her head."How do you feel about being in a serious relationship?With me especially?"
"No problem."
"I mean if we had to date,what would you perhaps expect from me?"Jayden asks as he eats his food and keeps staring at her.
"I don't understand,maybe you tell me want you will expect from me."She says and he smiles.
"Loyalty, support and mostly your time."He says."I feel you ticked all of them so far so you just have to continue the way you have been doing."He adds and drinks his Coca Cola Coke Zero.
"I would expect physical touch such as cuddles and kisses. Also words of affirmation. You really make me blush with your words."She says and he bites his lip."Then about- s-e-x?"
He widens his eyes before chuckling."I mean,we do not have to rush,how about we make a deal?"
"I am listening."
"I give you fifty thousand rands if you can go without sex for as long as you can. If you ever convince me into that direction,you lose."He explains, causing her to smile.
She wipes her hands after eating her steak and takes her wings. "If you lose,I will buy you something."She says and he smiles.
"Okay."
"Are you going to ask me properly to be your girlfriend or should I just assume?"Keneoue asks and Jayden bites her bottom lip,looking at the plate that has buffalo chicken wings.
"Look down."He says, causing Keneoue to see be my woman in the buffalo sauce.
Keneoue smacks her lips before laughing,she covers her mouth as she cannot stop laughing."Wow,I expected something mor-"
"Yes or no, Keneoue?"
"Yes. I will be your woman. This is so iconic Jayden. I am not going to forget it."She says and eats her food before drinking her juice and wiping her hands.
She takes out her mirror and wipes her mouth before hearing her phone vribrate.
She takes it out of her sling bag,looks to see it is a unknown number but something causes her to answer it."Hello."She says,putting it on her ear and puts the mirror in her bag.
"Hello, Keneoue."A soft girly voice says, causing Keneoue to widen her eyes before looking at Jayden who packs the plates away."I am Yolanda Adams,Dinaledi Mokoena gave me your number...I have something to tell you."
"You have my attention. What is going on?Is Dinaledi okay?"
"She is okay,it is me who have a problem and what I talk to someone?It has something to do with Sipho,the boy who posted your nudes on social media."
"I was one of the people who helped to get the photos and video down."She says and Keneoue listens as she drinks her juice."I want to help you sue him."
"O-kay. Let me call you because right now I am busy."Keneoue says, deciding to cut the call short.
"Okay- I will be waiting for it."The call ends and she looks at Jayden with shock.
"And?"
"I want to get Sipho arrested and for all the hurt he caused to the girls."Keneoue says and Jayden narrows his eyes.
"So I should put on my strongest heart on."
"Boy,bring everything you can with you because it is about to be a bumpy ride."Keneoue says, causing Jayden to whispers because he was in disbelief.
