"STOP SPLASHING ME OR IM GONNA KILL YOU, WILSON" Amanda spoke from the edge of the pool at the Island Club. It was Thursday, which was the one day a week where the golf course was closed for maintenance. The girls weren't working, so they decided to go cool off and hang out at the club pool.

Amanda, Kelsie and Tori were all cooling off from the heat. They were spread out amongst the shallow end, with Amanda on the edge, Kelsie on the stairs and Tori leaning against the wall. The hurricane had fully passed, and the island was back to being sunny with light blue skies.

Their moment of silence was interrupted quickly, as they watched Topper and Rafe, along with their other friend Kelce get out of a truck and enter the deck through the fence.

"Girls! We are heading to the bar, want anything to drink?" Kelce shouted, already taking his shirt off and throwing it next to the girls stuff. Topper looked at Rafe with a tight-lipped smile, his friend rolling his eyes in return.

It was no secret that Kelce was in love with Amanda, and had been for years since they were in high school. Although it felt deathly obvious, the dark skinned boy's obsession with Amanda was not direct enough in her eyes, as his discription of liking a strawberry blonde with blue eyes was not enough to give it away. Her two friends decided not to say anything to her about it, as they made a bet to see how long it would take her to notice who had a crush on her.

Taking advantage of Kelce's kindness, Tori ordered a mojito, while her two friends both ordered strawberry daiquiri's. Thanking the boys, the girls waited until they were not in earshot anymore to continue their gossip.

Before the boys had come, the girls were saying how Sarah Cameron had told Topper she did not want to have sex, which in todays world is very rare. When they heard the news, the trio of girls were in shock, especially since they all started being sexually active at just fifteen. They also shared their opinions on the girls new friends that lived on the opposite side of the island, or The Cut.

Changing the conversation, Kelcie twirled around in the water. "Guys! Matthew will not stop texting me. He left the island yesterday and is already talking about coming back, just so he can see me." She beamed as her friends grinned at her. Amanda and Tori could not help it but stifle laugh when they made eye contact. Not in a mean way, but because they were happy for their friend, and though it was adorable how highly she talked of a boy she only has met once.

"I still do not understand how you pulled it off, I would not have been able to keep my cool." Tori giggled, her elbows rested on the patio while she kicked her legs behind her in the blue water.

They continued to laugh and splash one another, each of them yelling at each other for messing up their hair. At this point the girls had been waiting forever for the boys to bring their drinks.

"Here they come!" Amanda shouted, clapping her hands as each boy balanced two drinks in their hand. Examining all the Island Club cups, the brunette girl did not see her mojito in anyones hands, instead seeing four daquiri's, a mudslide and a margarita.

Of course, the culprit behind the mistake was none other than Rafe, who had been in charge of getting Tori's drink. While Kelce and Topper squatted down to give the girls their drinks without making them move, the blonde boy simply set the drink down on the table adajacent to the lawn chairs.

Rolling her eyes and groaning, the girl pushed herself out of the pool, letting her body display her new Dior bikini she had bought when she visited Asheville. She then grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself. "How do you manage to mess this up. I asked for a mojito, Cameron, not a margarita."

When the brunette splashed the dripping water from her hands onto his face, all he did was give her a smile. "It is all alcohol, Wilson, just drink it. You should be happy I even bought it for you." He wiped the water off his face and took a sip of his own daiquiri.

"Thanks for buying it, with my discount card that you stole out of my purse." She said, pulling her Work ID how of his pocket, and throwing it back in her purse. He put his hands up in surrender and watched her walk away, reordering her drink.

She would drink the margarita if it had come from somebody else, but knowing Rafe and his possible intentions, she did not want to satisfy him with letting it slide.

"Have y'all seen Sarah today at all? I texted her and she has not gotten back to me yet." Topper said, running a hand through his hair and sipping on his mudslide. Tori could overhear them, and watched as all the boys huddled around where the two girls stood in the water.

Not interested enough with the conversation she was listening in on, she turned her attention back to the bar. She watched the news, where multiple houses on The Cut were being shown, their destruction evident from the storm. Luckily she did not have to watch for too long before the bartender finished her mojito and she could walk away.

While everybody had migrated to the hot tub, she grabbed her phone and texted her dad about all the houses she saw on the news.

Her dad had been destined to work in real estate when he came out of the womb, as the family business "Wilson Realty" was one of the best brokerages in town. Hayden had been obligated to take it over when he was ready, meaning he would eventually have to compete with Cameron Development, which was owned by none other than Ward Cameron.

Although the two were obvious competitors in the real estate world, the two families forced themselves to get along, as Kooks were always meant to respect each other, especially since it had its benefits with such a small population.

If we were being honest, both businesses did great, and both families were overly wealthy. The reality was though, the Wilson name had been connected with Figure Eight for generations, where the Cameron's moved up the food chain and created a name for itself when Ward had done it himself.

Her dad quickly responded to her text, telling her he was already planning on sweeping some of the houses out from under the Pogue's feet.

Tori was always interested in real estate, and enjoyed helping her father and his workers create the atmosphere of the open houses he held. With that being said though, she was never gonna be apart of the company, even if she wanted to. Her dad always told her it was a man's job, there were too many women in the real estate business.

Her mom was one of them, which in the girls mind is the reason her dad is so against a women running Wilson Realty.

Walking over to the hot tub, she slowly sank into the bubbles and squished between Kelcie and Topper, who had been exchanging their phones, showing the texts they got from their "lovers" and comparing. The other Kelce was talking Amanda's ear off, while she was too concentrated on mixing her drink enough so it did not seperate too much. If it did, she would get grossed out and refuse to finish it.

Rafe grabbed the attention of his blonde friend a little after Tori joined the group, making Kelcie update her on her surfer.
