— Offroad —-

I arrived early at the venue today since we still needed to practice our walks for the TikTok Shop Runway event later tonight. It's been about three years since I started modeling, and while the journey's had its ups and downs, I've often wondered if I truly belonged in this industry. But thanks to Nun, my amazing manager, the past year has brought more opportunities than I ever expected.

I was especially hyped for this event, not just because it was big, but because I'd be sharing the runway with live performers and with my best friend, Diamond.

I was chatting with the other models for like 20 minutes until the stage manager came and got us.

"Alright, everyone! We're going to do a dry run with the pre-recorded music. The singers will be watching, so you can get into the rhythm. After that, they'll practice with you on stage..."

He gave us a few more instructions, but halfway through his speech, I felt something. That unmistakable feeling you get when someone's eyes are on you. Curious, I casually glanced around, scanning the room until my eyes landed to the right. And that's when I saw him, Daou Pittaya.

The man with the smooth, soulful voice, mesmerizing TikTok dances, and a killer smile that had millions swooning online. I was used to seeing him on my feed or hearing his name mentioned in passing, but here he was, in the flesh, just a few feet away from me. And, to my complete surprise (and horror), he was looking at me , MEE .

My heart jumped in my chest, a mix of excitement and panic all at once. Could he really be looking at me? I mean, he was wearing sunglasses, so there was a chance he wasn't... But, still, it felt like he was staring right in my direction. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks, that stupid grin creeping onto my face, and before I knew it, my thoughts were spiraling.

What do I do? Do I wave? Smile? No, that's too much. What if he's not even looking at me? Oh my god, stop overthinking!

Lost in my swirling thoughts, I didn't even notice Diamond standing beside me, giving me a side glance. "Offroad, let's go!" he whispered, nudging me back to reality.

I blinked, snapping out of my Daou-induced trance, and quickly refocused on what was happening around me. "Right, right," I muttered, feeling a little embarrassed as I fell into step with Diamond. I had completely missed half the instructions.

As we made our way toward the stage for the rehearsal, I couldn't resist one last glance over my shoulder, hoping to catch another glimpse of Daou. But this time, he wasn't just looking my way. He was smiling.

— Daou —

I was mesmerized.

I'd been watching him for a while - not in a creepy way, but more like wow, that guy is something else . His smile was the first thing that caught my attention, soft and genuine, the kind that lights up his entire face. And what a face... deep, soulful eyes, perfectly framed by sharp features. His lips were... perfect . I couldn't help but stare, imagining the softness, the curve of them when he laughed. And his body... Well, let's just say I was struggling not to let my thoughts wander too far.

I watched as he made his way to the stage with the other models, getting ready for their dry run. The way he walked was graceful, almost like he was floating, with an effortless confidence. He didn't even have to try to command attention. It was just natural for him.I heard someone call him Offroad . Curious, I pulled out my phone and opened the group chat with my best friends.

*Daou : Guys, do you know a model named Offroad ?

Est : The name seems familiar but I can't place him

Joong : Him ?*

Within seconds, Joong sent me a link to an Instagram profile. I clicked it, and sure enough, there he was. The same stunning face, those same soulful eyes, staring back at me through the screen. Each photo made me even more intrigued. He was just as mesmerizing in still images as he was in real life.

*Daou : Yeees, you're the best !!!

Joong : Why are you asking about him ?

Joong : Est, we've seen him at a bunch of shows this year. We even did Dior with him.

Est : Ohhh yeah, I remember now. He was really sweet. And hot.

Joong : Really hot

Daou: Alright, stop it, both of you, or I'm telling your boyfriends. I'll explain later.*

I pocketed my phone and focused on the stage. I realized that the music that he was walking to was not the one I was singing so I wasn't going to be in the first round of practice with him but I'll be singing for the closing part so he'll be close for a while.

I smiled to myself at the thought, realizing I was way too invested in this mystery man already.

I continued watching the rehearsals and the different models on stage, well, if I was being honest, only a particular one, while waiting for my turn.

"Daou it's your turn, please get on the stage" I heard someone from the staff say.

With my mic in hand, I stepped forward. The moment the music started, the world around me faded, and the only thing that mattered was the rhythm pulsing through my veins.

As I sang, my eyes drifted back to Offroad, who had taken his position near the end of the runway. He was watching me now, and I couldn't help but feel a thrill shoot through my spine. Our eyes locked for a split second, and something about the way he looked at me made my heart race.
