The next day in the mansion's backyard, Adrien was doing archery since he had competed once in the Olympic Games last year which was in Paris for archery. He pulled the arrow back and managed to hit the inner circle.
"Leftover cake in the fridge is delicious, you know, and it doesn't go to waste," Felix said, eating a slice of cake.
"Heh, it's like you waited so long for freedom without having your ghost father forbid you from everything" Adrien chuckled before aiming at another target.
"It was worth it," Felix said.
Adrien aimed the target in a good shot, "And thanks for surprising me yesterday for my birthday. Best day of my life"
"You're welcome" Felix replied.
"Gotta admit how you guys celebrate differently than in my old traditional life from the 19th century" Adrien aimed at another one.
"Traditions can change over time, cuz. You never thought of that in your time?" Felix asked.
"Barely," Adrien said.
"I know this feels like in the past but how did you find out Lila was a liar in your time?" Felix said.
"Simple, she lied to everyone that Paw Noir saved her in the Seine River but technically I saved her from a thief. It was almost as if she was a pathological liar. Especially when she lied about being friends with my mother I checked my mother's journal and not a single name of Lila was ever mentioned. As it worsened, I became extremely irritated at how she was not being honest with herself. Until she later manipulated my father about being friends with some other fashion designers" Adrien explained his story of how he found out she was a liar.
"That's quite some bad history you two got," Felix said.
"Yup. But getting on her bad side made me realize how much of a monster she was when she locked me in a coffin. Instead of respecting my opinions, she tried to make me suffer" Adrien aimed at the target again.
"And now she burns in hell," Felix said.
"Yup. She made me suffer like hell, now it's her turn to feel it. And of course, avenging my father" Adrien said.
"Serves her right," Felix said.
Adrien retrieves the arrows since he's out of targets, "If I didn't become a vampire, you would have become Lila's werewolf"
"Yeah, her lapdog" Felix joked.
"But you do love dogs than cats," Adrien said.
"Of course I do. My mother knew I needed a friend. A dog friend who won't judge me. Especially when my father died, I adopted Argos" Felix said before handing him a bottle of blood, "And of course, a black cat too that saved my ass"
"Yep. I might adopt a cat to keep him company" Adrien opens the bottle to drink.
But Felix stopped him before he took a sip, "Technically, you're the cat and bat whisperer. They always hear you talk like Dr. Dolittle"
"Right of course" Adrien replied and took a sip of his drink before feeling refreshed with life source in his veins, "I still need to stop hunting for living blood, Felix. I made a promise to my bride and I cannot upset her more with my vampire nature"
"I wish I could buy a blood bank," Felix said.
"Yes, well, I have an ancient relic to turn water into blood. I just need something like a dummy rather than a living person to bite on" Adrien said.
"We can try it on a doll" Felix suggested.
"It's not easy biting on a neck that doesn't taste like flesh nor can I find a vein area," Adrien said.
