Abandoned Hospital

Miki put on her hospital gown and got out of bed.
She approached her door and opened it, noticing immediately that something was off.

"Um, hello! Is anybody here?" Miki called, the hospital was completely dark, it was like there was nobody even here, and it was quiet, too quiet.

She gasped suddenly, a young pale boy in underwear ran past her.
"Hey!" She called, she shined her light in the direction he ran, but saw nothing.
"Damn kids playing pranks on patients..." She said to herself.

Miki walked ot the phone, about to pick it up, but then... it stopped ringing?
She picked up the phone anyway, but there was no message.

She suddenly saw the boy again, she ran after him, he seemed to run into a bathroom, she followed him inside, seeing a stall slam shut, she shined her light at it.
"Hey! Come out you brat!" She called,

Just then, she heard a loud crackly rattle.
The stall door opened, and a woman stepped out, Miki's light flickered, the woman stood far away from her, staring...
"Um... I-I'm so sorry miss, th-there's this kid running around-" Miki tried to explain,

Suddenly, her light flickered again, the woman was directly in front of her, she grabbed Miki's arm, gripping tightly...
Miki struggled, "H-hey! Let go!" She yelled as the woman attemped to open her mouth.

Miki grunted and shoved the woman with her free hand, she backed away, her eyes rolling around as she stared at Miki, Miki panted and gasped for breath.
"Wh-what the hell is wrong with you?!" She asked, the woman vanished.

Miki stood there, completely dumbfounded,
None of this made sense.

She left the bathroom, running back to the main area, she found an elevator, she attempted to use it to get back to the entrance, but the elevator didn't work.
Then, Miki heard a strange beep coming from the screen beside directory map, it highlighted room 301.

Out of curiosity, Mika entered room 301, to her shock, nobody was inside, no nurses, no patients, nobody...

She attempted to turn on the televisions, but they only displayed static.

She found nothing else in that room, except...
One thing caught her eye, on one of the tables, there was a scrap of paper, it looked like it was drawn on by a child.

Miki took the paper and returned to the main lobby, and then, the phone rang again, Miki quickly picked it up...

"Hello?" She asked, she heard a response, the same crackly rattle from earlier, she had heard of it before, it was called a death rattle, a desperate attempt at breathing often made by people moments before death.

"I-is this some kind of sick joke?!" Miki asked angrily, the other end hung up...

Miki's eyes darted to something else... under the table was another scribbled fragment, Miki bent down and picked it up.

But as soon as she did, she heard scurrying behind her, she quickly dove under the table.

She gripped her flashlight, she soon saw little feet running circles around the table.
Afraid to let the child leave her sight, she kept the flashlight on him, until eventually, he vanished...

Miki got out from under the table, she heard the same beeping sound again... she glanced at the screen by the map, the numbers had changed...
