what did he not feel?
well... he could answer that a multitude of ways.
he could not feel lots of things. he had never felt achievement because everything came easy to him. he had never felt happiness because nothing mattered enough to him that it made him happy, per se.
(other than coffee jelly, he supposed. it's one of the growing addictions he's been having as of late.)
and one of the most permeant, loneliness.
he did not feel lonely even when people thought he was. he just felt at peace when he could be alone. having so many thoughts swirling around made him feel he could never be alone in the first place. so just being around people felt like a hassle.
he just wished the girl following him would understand that.
"helloooo? are you deaf or something? why aren't you listening to me?"
it was too early for this. she had saw him as he was walking to school and decided to follow him. he didn't know why. he said he wasn't her soulmate, what could she want with him? it's not like he could just magically make her his soulmate.
well.. he supposed he could but why would he do that for her? she was disturbing his fake peace. her feet skipped behind him as she poked his back.
"what do you want."
her poking stopped and she ran next to him.
"ah! so you can still speak! good to know!"
ugh.
she fiddled with the straps of her bag as she whistled. what did she even want? if she was just going to walk there and not explain what she was doing, she could leave. he didn't bother pressing her for answers as he just kept walking.
he also wished she'd turn down her music. he started getting sick of western pop songs and it was only the second day he's been around her. can't she just not listen to music? they are going to school after all.
but her music did not stop and they both kept walking to school.
"soo..."
"what."
"can i see your soulmate mark?"
...
no?
"no."
she whipped around with an offended expression as he died a bit more on the inside. she already knows he isn't her soulmate. he told her, didn't he? why is she being so difficult?
"why not?!"
"because i already told you, you're not my soulmate."
her hands started gesturing in front of her. her summer uniform accentuating the text on her wrist. good thing he didn't have his mark facing her.
"so what?! i showed you mine! don't you think it would be a little fair if you showed me yours?!"
"nope."
she restricted herself from groaning as more people were coming their way. thank god they were almost at school.
suddenly he felt a hand grab his left wrist. he saw her face twisted in a mischievous smile as she grabbed his arm to look at his wrist.
"c'mon let me see! i wanna make sure you-"
he shoved his arm away at lightning speed. probably a little too fast as she stumbled at the sheer force. she blinked at him as she held her hand out in the air.
