Chapter 1-A Boy To Teenager

12:00 hits on everyone's watch meaning break was over. It was back to class,where Benjamin would sit at the back of the class and keep quiet ,were he could hide his face from the world. Was this the mind of a new comer,we yet to find out. After school came fast than expected, Benjamin tucked his bag to his back and headed off to his place. The journey was long and boring but not for Benjamin ,he had gotten used to being alone infact, to him this felt like an ordinary day, for an ordinary person.

Well, this was not an ordinary day Benjamin would think it was because before he turned to his house, at a distance, he stared and to his surprise Jennifer- who lived a couple of blocks away-he saw her hug an old lady and assumed it was her grandmother. Benjamin couldn't help it, his emotions flattered in his stomach and his feet filled with butterflies. You might say its weird but Benjamin smiled for a moment then looked at the first stair of were he lived.

His face turned cold. Walking towards the door, Benjamin prayed not to find his father home. He slowly pushed the door and a small breeze of trouble blowed across his face. He heard no sound from the house,*phew*a release of relief. The pots in the kitchen were dancing to the heat of the stove, 'Oh thank God' Benjamin's heart said, mom was home.

"Hey Benjamin ", " Hey mom" he responded. It was one of those days where by you feel like you have a lot to do but don't know what it was, So he threw his bag on the floor and jumped on the bed and slowly realises this mood, 'What a day' he thought to himself. The day slowly vanished as he was lost in his mind, "Benjamin, dinner is ready" ,his mom shouted. "I'll be there in a minute or so", Benjamin had to change to his night kit. He put on his BVD and a gown on top and off he went to the dinner table down stairs. Benjamin and his mom were silently eating, the only sound that was there was of forks and knives hitting the plates. One who wouldn't know would swear that there was a sword fight.

A familiar knock on the door , a change of impression on Benjamin's face. This meant one thing, his dad was in the house;"Evening my beautiful wife and my dickless son",abserd way of greeting your son don't you think. This always killed Benjamin's feelings he never liked the negative way his father kept on treating him and teasing him about not having a girlfriend and friends. This always made Benjamin to move to his room, this served as one of his problems from his father. Benjamin was irritated always in fact everyday maybe this is why he was a loner, it is not a mind of a newcomer,no, it's the sad feeling of being in the dark without anyone to give you a hand.

Benjamin was drifting in a pool of tears. One can say he never knew what love was, he's just a guy with more questions than answers. The next morning Benjamin got off to school early with his ordinary root. When he got to school, he expected to be alone, but to his surprise there was a tall guy with a woolen jersey and his hood on, putting on his hood on, his earphones with a book in front of him. He was writing something.

Benjamin just set at his normal corner. He looked at the guy and wondered what he was doing, he seemed to be worry free,'What makes him so calm, so relaxed, he's so stressless, how does he do that?' Benjamin just had to find out "Uhm Hey",tall guy kept quiet. Benjamin released his hand and touched the guy's shoulder."Hey",he repeated. " Hey ehm how can I help you?". "Oh uhm I'm Benjamin and I Uhmm...", Benjamin froze he forgot what he wanted to say, " Are you gonna say something?" the guy asked. "Uhmm its nothing". Benjamin then turned and went back to his seat, he felt stupid 'What was I thinking' he said to himself.

Time went by and students began entering the class, a usual day had begun. Jennifer entered the class with her friends Angela and Christina. Rumour has it that the girls only dated College dudes, but what the heck that was only a rumour right? Jennifer was intelligent judging from Benjamin's face but behind her smile lied a secret, a secret only Christina knew. Jennifer was mostly found with Christina. This usually made people wonder, even at the cafeteria there was something different that separated them from the other kids, but what was it no one knew. During break, Jennifer was walking to the cafeteria with Christina and Angelabhad been talking about the upcoming bash. It was not a school bash but a birthday bash, which belonged to Mc Valga, he was known as cube. He held a record for holding the biggest house bash in two months. All he has ever done was drink, host, and play around with woman.

"Do you think you are going",Christina asks " Yeah I think so,'cause my parents are going out",Jennifer says. "Oh yah I heard them talk with my parents about a dinner meeting they were going to have, so meaning our parents are both going out, I'm coming to your place at 20:00," Christina says.

Benjamin was at the next table, he heard the girls talk about the mega bash and a thought came to his mind. If he went to the bash he can get some new friends and maybe forget about his problems. He was already making that decision of going, then suddenly a vibration on his phone. He wondered who it could be and there it was, on his phone in bold text written: You've been invited to the CUBE Bash Tonight...
Excitement enlightened his face, he's definatley going now. He was not excited about the bash,no,he was excited that he will be looking at Jennifer. Cube was one of those cool guys mostly.
