TAILS' POV: SWEARING
He just stands there with a shocked expression. Then he finally breaks out of his trance-like state. "TAILS?!" He yells. I smile. "Soni-" I'm about to finish when I get interrupted by two arms wrapping around me.
I hug him back. "T-Tails! You're alive, gosh, YOU'RE ALIVE!" Sonic says, as if he can't believe it. My wounds still hurt, but I can't notice that right now. All I can focus on is Sonic.
"How...How are you awake? How are you awake so soon?!" Sonic asks as he pulls away with tears in his eyes. I smile wider. "Well, I dunno. Maybe we got lucky..?" I say. He just chuckles and pulls me back in for another hug. "It doesn't matter, does it?" Sonic asks. "Yeah...it doesn't." I say, grinning.
Sonic pulls away. "Well, I better get a doctor in here!" He says, and he turns away. "Wait!" I say before I can stop myself. Sonic turns back around.
"Hm?"
"Why are you here at the hospital so late?"
"..."
"Sonic..?"
"...I'll tell you later, bud. A lot has happened..."
"Like what?" But he's already out of the room. Shit...what the hell happened..?!
A doctor checks up on me. "You're all good, kiddo! You should stay here for about another week before going home, though. Your wounds are still pretty bad. But you're fine!" The doctor says. I smile. "Thanks!" I say as he walks out of the room. I turn to Sonic, who was standing there the whole time the doctor checked on me.
"So...you gonna tell me what happened?" I ask him. He sighs and sits down. "Astrid got attacked, I guess. She doesn't have a very good chance. I just got the news while I was looking for a doctor..." Sonic answers. My heart drops.
"Don't worry about it, bud. You know Astrid. She's weird, and always bounces back." Sonic says as he pulls me into a hug. I hug him back as burning tears stream down my face.
The week goes by quickly. Axel, Maddie, Tom, Sonic, even Knuckles visits almost every day. And before I know it, I'm on my way home!
I walk through the front door, and I immediately get tackled by Ollie. "Hey, off! He's injured!" Tom says, pushing Ollie off me as Maddie helps me up. I giggle. "I'm super happy to be home!" I say. Then...
SHATTER!
That sound can be heard from a window upstairs. Shit.
