Aargonar

An unexplored, desert planet far in the Outer Rim territories of the galaxy.

On the planet resided a people, isolated from Inner Rim worlds. They lived within the caves of the plateaus and sandy mountains in the most remote corner of the planet surrounded by the dry conditions. The caves were entrances opening to many pathways that lead to an underground kingdom filled with lush, green vegetation, small lakes of fresh water, and countless homes made of stone and granite. Fertile crops of wheat, corn, and all manner of foods lined outside the homes. An irrigation system ran through the crops and lakes filling them with just enough water.

Though the sandy wilderness was unkind to trespassers, the inhabitants were experienced in the naturally harsh climatic conditions of the planet. They thrived by living off their own means, trading amongst themselves, and helping one another. They were peaceful, using their own means of defense should ever the day come that those of the Inner Rim worlds try to dominate their world.

They were both farmers and warriors trained to live off the land and defend themselves should their circumstances ever be dire. They were cultured and religious, singing the songs of their ancestors, celebrating the birth of children, and worshiping their entity.

They also spoke in their own language, Aargonarae, a dialect of the Dailyrii language used by their deity. They were learned in Galactic Basic, but only to communicate with strangers that came to be on their planet in order to aid them off.

Everything they owned was given to them by their deity, a dragon whom they called the Oraculi. A force-sensitive, spiritual being that resided in an ancient realm known as Vis Regnum. A land filled with an assortment of magical creatures and all manner of strange organisms. A paradise with mountains, flowing waterfalls, fresh springs, angelic forests, and sun-filled valleys. A land brimming with the life of the Force. A balance like no other of the light and the dark.

The only entrance to the realm was to go through the water portal in the large fountain of their main underground lake. In the center of the lake were the torii gates, where the portal would appear with a single stone path leading through them. The only way one could obtain entrance to Vis Regnum was if they were found worthy by the Oraculi, herself.

She was known by name through her deeds as the former mount of the Prime Jedi, who merged with the Force after a long life of creating a legacy for many millennia to come. The Oraculi became the Guardian of Vis Regnum and was charged with a duty given to her by her master.

While the Jedi Order, formally created by the Prime Jedi, had forgotten many of the deeds of the ancient founder over thousands of millennia past, the inhabitants of Aargonar had not. Every tale of the Prime Jedi lived on in the people. How he had supported and helped them build their peaceful kingdom deep within the plateaus and mountains. After his death, the Oraculi remained in the realm of Vis Regnum looking after her charge, until one day she received an unexpected revelation.

The Force granted her a vision, prophesying the forthcoming of the Chosen Ones. The ones destined to restore balance in the Force throughout the galaxy.

The beginning of its fruition. The Oraculi had witnessed the heart of Vis Regnum, a pure white peach blossom tree, pulse its trunk and vibrate its branches, causing the white bioluminescent petals to disconnect and drift to the ground.

It happened on the day of the celebration of the Hunt. A ceremony dedicated to celebrating the transition of the youth into adulthood. Every year in the kingdom of Aargonar, young boys and girls reaching the age of sixteen would join the Hunt. A hunting party would leave the caves for a fortnight, searching for game in the desert to bring back to honor the members of the family who supported them.

Chief Harlearth Dathmengel of the Varkhan family was the leader of the people of Aargonar. An honorable man, he abided by the teachings and traditions of their people, leading The Hunt every year.

He found something unusual during that year's hunt. After sending off the youngsters to find their game, Chief Dathmengel observed from his designated position in the wilderness of dry bushes and the remains of dead plants. It is in the wooded wilderness where he found an abandoned baby in the clutches of the sand.

He heard the baby's cry echoing not far from where he stood on a hill and his curiosity drove him.

Upon finding the babe, he unwrapped the cloth covering. He immediately discovered the baby to be female, her features were unlike any other, pale skin and hazel eyes with gray flecks. Tears were streaming down her dry, chapped face.

The Chief had compassion on the child. There was no one around to claim her, so he scooped her in his strong arms and looked after her. When the Hunt ended, he dismissed the shocked glances of his warriors and hunters, taking her back to his home to care for her.

He presented her to his wife, who instantly took a liking to her. To their surprise, when the baby cried, the stone furniture and tools began to levitate in the air.

In Chief Dathmengel's mind, he recognized that this child was strangely force-sensitive and for a while, the couple did not know what to make of it. The people of Aargonar had not encountered force-sensitives in thousands of years, but somehow this child, whose appearance was an enigma, strangely wound up on their planet.

These strange abilities caused the Chief and his wife to gaze upon the child in speechless wonder. What were they to do? For the wife, there was only one option. After holding the child in her embrace, she and her husband decided that they would raise her.

They claimed her as their own and named her with the people to witness.

She was called Elíriel.

Her appearance and birth were shrouded in mystery. In spite of her abilities, she was one of them.

Elíriel Lasteele.

To the people, she was their crown princess from the stars.

But to a young boy far across the galaxy, she would become far more.

I know many readers may be confused, but trust the writing and plot. It will all eventually come together as I post and edit. If there are any questions, leave them in the comment section. I appreciate feedback, but please keep it respectful and civil. I have done a lot of research over the past couple years, as I am a big fan of Star Wars. This is gonna be a long, wild ride. The first book is all about introducing the characters, especially my own added characters, along with the original plot of the Phantom Menace.

I know we all have busy lives. Keep persevering and don't let anyone stop you from achieving your goals.
