Jungkook stood by the window of his chamber, watching the rain pour down in relentless sheets. Each drop felt like a hammer striking his heart, echoing the turmoil within. YN's defiant eyes and determined voice replayed in his mind, her words cutting deeper than any blade. He rubbed his temples, trying to banish the thoughts, but they only grew stronger, gnawing at his conscience.Unable to shake off the feeling, Jungkook decided to check on YN. He needed to understand what had driven her to such extremes. Perhaps there was a side to the story he hadn’t seen, something that might explain her actions. He hurried to her room, hoping to find her there and get some answers.
Jungkook knocked on YN’s door, but there was no response. He pushed the door open gently and peeked inside. The room was empty, the bed neatly made as if no one had been there. His concern deepened. Where could she be? He checked the library, the kitchen, and even the gardens, but there was no sign of her. His worry turned into a gnawing fear.
Finally, he made his way to the terrace, the last place he could think of. As he stepped onto the rain-slicked stones, his heart sank. There, curled into a ball and drenched from the downpour, was YN. She was hugging her knees, her body shaking from the cold and exhaustion. She looked so fragile, so small, and Jungkook’s heart ached at the sight.
"YN!" Jungkook shouted over the roar of the rain as he ran to her. He knelt beside her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "YN, wake up! It’s me, Jungkook."
YN's eyes fluttered open weakly, but she seemed barely conscious. "Jungkook..." she whispered, her voice barely audible over the storm.
"You're freezing," Jungkook said, panic evident in his voice. "What are you doing out here? You need to come inside."
He wrapped his arms around her, lifting her gently. She was so light, almost as if she had no strength left in her. Jungkook carried her back inside, his clothes quickly becoming soaked through. He hurried through the corridors, ignoring the curious stares of the servants.
In his chamber, he laid her down on the couch and quickly covered her with a warm blanket. He rubbed her hands, trying to bring warmth back to her cold fingers. "YN, stay with me. You're going to be okay," he murmured, his voice trembling.
YN was unconscious for a hrs, and Jungkook never left her side. He watched over her, his worry growing with each passing hour. The sound of the rain beating against the windows felt like a constant reminder of his fear. When she finally stirred, it was like a weight lifted from his chest.
YN opened her eyes slowly, blinking against the dim light of the chamber. She took in her surroundings, her gaze finally settling on Jungkook. "What happened?" she asked weakly, confusion clouding her expression.
"You were out in the rain," Jungkook said, his voice filled with concern. "You passed out on the terrace. I brought you here."
YN struggled to sit up, and Jungkook moved to help her, but she pushed his hands away. "Why did you bring me here? Why do you care?" she asked, her voice sharp.
"Because I was worried about you," Jungkook replied, taken aback by her hostility. "You were in danger, YN. I couldn’t just leave you there."
"Why should you care?" YN snapped, her eyes flashing with anger. "You believed every word your mother said about me. You didn’t stand up for me. You didn’t even try to understand."
Jungkook's face fell. "YN, I’m sorry. I was confused, but now I see that I was wrong. I want to make it right."
YN shook her head, tears welling in her eyes. "It’s too late for that, Jungkook. I can’t stay here. I can’t be in a place where I’m constantly judged and humiliated."
