CHAPTER 3 IN HIS ARM'S

We were on a ride to his house. The road was so dark, only the light of our car could lead our way. I was trembling due to the air conditioner. Huh hah (feeling cold)

He saw me curled up.

“Hey are you ok? You seemed cold.”

“No I'm fine it's just.” ghaaa huu (freezing)

Before I could talk, he told me that I was lying.

“You're lying”. He stared at me in the mirror.

“You're cold, and I can barely see it in your face. Here's my jacket, you can take it.”

He handed me over his jacket to keep me warm.

“There, feeling much better?”

“Y-yes, thanks.”

“You're welcome.”He smiled at me in the mirror.

The road was so dark, I couldn't see what was behind. All I can see is darkness chasing us behind.

“H-hey, I'm scared.” I wasn't gonna say I'm scared but I can't help it.

“Ohh, it's ok we're almost there.”

Hearing those words makes me feel relieved.

“Ok, we're here.”(Talks in a soft and calm voice)

I didn't notice, that we had arrived at his place. Because I can't stare in the window, due to being so scared.

I stepped outside of his car. And I can't believe what's in front of me. In front of me was a huge building.

Wow! “It's massive, Do-do you live here?”

“Yes, my apartment was on the 6th floor.”

He nodded his head, signaling me to follow him.

The outside was beautiful, but the inside was gorgeous. A big chandler is hanging in the ceiling. Long curtains were side open. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the building, that I didn't even realize, Ethan was staring at me so peacefully.

“Hey shall we?”

“Ahh ok let's go.”

Me and Ethan enter the elevator. He pushed the button to the 6th floor, where his apartment is located. The space was so silent. I tried thinking about what I would say to him, but he already said something that would make the disturbance in the silent space.

“Hey, lucas? When did you move here?”

“Ahh, well I don't remember”I scratched my hair.

“Huh? Ok?” He was holding his neck being puzzled by my answer.

“why did you move here?”

“Oh, because mom wants to move far away from our old town.”

“That's it?” He was eager to know more.

“Well, I think because of dad's disappearance? That my mom can't take the lonely atmosphere in our old house. So she moved.”

“Actually, I don't want to leave our house there, but I can't do anything. That's my mom's decision, and I can't say no to her.”

Oh, sorry for your dad's loss. He was sad for my dad's disappearance.

Nah it's ok, that was a long time ago.

“So, why did your dad pass away?” He asked me in a very concerned voice.

“Uhmm, because he was sick, he was diagnosed with 3rd stage cancer. It was too late when we found out that he was really sick.”
