Georgias life was tough for most of her existence. From a tough childhood with unstable and abusive parents to teen pregnancy to running from her past and her mistakes.

At some point, she stopped running. She met someone who made her reconsider her life. To stop moving from one place to another, looking for something more.

She dated different men, even married one and then ran when things went wrong. She never thought twice about it. She just wanted what was best for her kids. She rarely ever stuck around anywhere for too long.

That changed when she met Y/n. Georgia was drawn to her in every way and didn't quite understand why. It took a while for her to realise that she had feelings for the woman.

It was her first time seeing a woman in a romantic way and it made her curious. She wanted to find out more and quickly befriended her.

Y/n was charming and charismatic. She was kind and funny and great with children. She was a well known and respected teacher and Georgia couldn't help but fall for her.

Just over a year later, they were planning their wedding. Ginny and Austin had both gotten attached to Y/n very quickly and started calling her 'mama' after they got married.

Georgia was mom and Y/n was mama, that's just how it was. Y/n was more than happy to take on a parental role with the two kids.

Ginny was 12 and Austin was 6 when Y/n and Georgia got married. They lived in the town they met for 3 more years after their marriage, but eventually moved as Georgia didn't like the town.

After a little searching, they found a town by the name of Wellsbury. It seemed like a really nice town and a good place to raise their family.

They moved there when Ginny was 15 and Austin was 9. The house was big and spacious and it had a big garden for them to play in.

They found good schools for Ginny and Austin and Y/n got a teaching job in Ginnys school as well.

Everything was going great when they moved to Wellsbury. The kids made new friends and Y/n and Georgia were happier than ever. They had their perfect little family.

Over time, arguments started to emerge between the two and their relationship became strained. They got along most of the time but occasionally disagreed on minor things, which would be blown out of proportion.

Now a little over 2 years later, Wellsbury didn't seem like such a happy place to be anymore. Y/n started distancing herself from Georgia as she became tired of their arguments.

She spent more time at school, doing lesson plans and correcting homework instead of doing that at home like she used to.

They tried not to show the kids that something was wrong or argue in front of them, but Ginny was 18 now and could tell something was up.

It was upsetting for her to see her parents becoming distant, never to them but to each other. Ginny adored Y/n and didn't want her and Georgia to split up.

Austin on the other hand, had no idea. He was in his own world as any 11 year old would be. At least that's something they did right. No 11 year old should be worried if their parents are going to split up.

It was coming towards the end of the school year, just over a month left, which meant that Y/n would soon lose her excuse to stay out as the summer starts.

On the bright side, Ginny was graduating high school this year. She was all grown up now and Y/n couldn't believe it. She watched Ginny grow up for the last 6, almost 7 years and loved her like her own daughter.

Ginnys approaching graduation this year seemed to help Y/n and Georgia get along better as they started planning a graduation party for her.

---

Y/n was exhausted from the day. She had some particularly difficult classes today as it was a Friday and the students were dying to go home to do whatever it was that students did on a weekend.

Ginny felt bad seeing Y/n in class like that. She knew that just one day of classes didn't do this to her. It was obvious that there was something else going on.

Y/n had Ginnys class for the last period of the day, so they were going home together. "How was your day, Gin?" Y/n asked as they got in the car, smiling at the girl.

"It was fine. What about yours?" Ginny asked as she looked at Y/n while she pulled out of the parking lot.

"Yeah, it was good." Y/n hummed, keeping her eyes on the road. "Ma, I can tell that you're exhausted. What's up?" Ginny asked.

Y/n glanced at her quickly before reverting her eyes to the road. "Just haven't been sleeping well recently, is all." Y/n told her.

"I know you and Mom are trying to hide it, but I know that something is up with you two." Ginny said, crossing her arms.

"Baby, we're fine. Couples argue sometimes, that's just a part of life." Y/n said with a sigh. "You never used to until the last year." Ginny grumbled under her breath.

"We'll figure things out. Don't worry about us. Focus on creating new experiences and living your teen years to the fullest." You told her and she slumped back in her seat. She knew you wouldn't tell he anything.

"I just don't want you to leave." Ginny mumbled as Y/n pulled into their driveway. "I'm not going anywhere." Y/n assured, giving Ginnys hand a comforting squeeze.

Ginny smiled as she got out of the car. She had to believe that it was true.

"Mama is home." Austin said excitedly, running to meet Y/n at the door and wrapping his arms around her.

"Hi, buddy." Y/n said softly, ruffling his hair. Austin laughed excitedly as Georgia peeked around the corner.

"Dinners almost ready." She informed and Y/n nodded in response, going to take a shower before dinner.

Y/n walked out of their bathroom only half dressed, wearing sweatpants and a sports bra. She was surprised to see Georgia walking into the room.

"Hey, are you alright? You look tired." Georgia said as she took Y/ns face into her hands. "I'm fine." Y/n said with a smile before closing the gap between them and kissing Georgia.

"I'm here if you need to talk." Georgia said as she held Y/ns hand. If only that was true, it seems like they argue over anything recently and Y/n doesn't know how to stop the cycle. They have some really good days, but on other days, it seems like anything can spark an argument.

"I know." Y/n smiled. "I just didn't sleep well." She said, just like she told Ginny. "Let's go eat." Y/n smiled before pecking Georgias lips.

Ginny smiled as she saw the interaction. She came up to see what was taking so long and in that one fleeting moment, it actually seemed like things were alright.
