Chapter 6

It was the night of the Winter Fall Ball, I got my hair done and all now I am ready to go. Jake came and pick me up and I have to leave with him since he was date to the ball. I heard door bell rang in front of the entrance and quickly fixing my dress. My father was already opened the front door and Jake greeted my father. "Hello good evening sir, I am Jake. Reinee's date for the ball tonight" I went and peeked the both of them from the kitchen. "Yes hello son, I called Reinee for you." I hid behind the wall so my father won't sense me peaking at them. "Darling, your date is here" I went to the front door and I looked at Jake's faces. He looked at me from my head to my toes and stood there smiling. "Reinee you look stunning" I flustered "Thank you and you look handsome as well" He smiled and scratched his back neck as I can see that his nervous. Before even Jake take out his hand, my father was already looking at me. "I want you to have fun but" he looked at Jake "I want my daughter to be safe, bring her back safely in one piece" 

I can see him already gulping and nodded. "Yes sir" Jake turned to me and smiled. "Shall we go?" I nodded and took his hand then he lead me to his car. I went inside the car and smiled crazily. I cannot wait for my first ball to be with my first date. We droved off from my house and everything went smoothly yet nicely in the car.

Xavier's POV

"I can see she is really going to the ball with the guy" I looked at his father with a worried face. "I don't trust him to keep my daughter safe" he turned around to looked at me. I was looking at him and he continued what was he going to say. "Go follow them and keep her safe or I won't get enough sleep by tonight Xavier." I nodded. "Yes sir, I'll be on my way" I went to the garage and get the key. I turned on the car and was about to drive until something came in my mind. "That Jake guy, if he does something to my lady, I killed him without mercy." I started to drive and chased after them to the ball. 

Me and Jake had arrived at the Ball and it was impressive .I walked side by side with Jake and I saw many of the student's here tonight. I looked around and see there are some already start dancing and all. I was with Jake and he offered me to dance with him, I was so shy because I don't know how to dance, my last dance was with my dance teacher and that I remembered I stepped his feet a lot. "I don't know how to dance" he looked at me and take my hand. "Just follow my step" He twirled me around and I followed his stepped. We dance to the middle of the floor and every one was in awe looking at us. I was having fun and the DJ was already changed the song. We both stopped and started to get thirsty. "You wanna go and get some punch?" I nodded and he hold my hand without letting go. 

We were laughing the whole night while getting our punch on then the song started to change again to another slowed dance song, Jake was asking about having another one dance together until I felt the tapped on my shoulder and I looked beside me, it was Xavier. "I'm sorry to interrupt your evening, may I have this one dance with my lady?" He looked at Jake and Jake looked at me. "my lady? you know him?" I nodded while my gazed was still at Xavier. Was it just me or he looks very handsome in tux because it was showing how ripped he was. I came back to earth and looked at Jake. "He is my personal bodyguard, Xavier" he greeted Jake and they both shook hands. I saw the tense in his eyes and I don't know what makes him intense. "May I steal your date?" Jake stood up and nodded. I looked at him and he had this normal yet weird faces. Xavier turned to me and gestured his hand for me to hold. "My lady, may I have this dance with you?"

I blushed the way he gestured and not forcing. I smiled and took his hand. When I'm with Jake it was just snowy swirled around me but then it was totally different when I'm with Xavier, everything was there. Butterflies, fireworks you named it. I felt like it was just the two of us on the dance floor and when I looked at him deeply in his blue eyes just gazed at them as my soul was just about to burst. While he swaying me through the rhythm "Why are you here?" he smiled and pulled me closer to him. "It is my duty to make sure you are safe plus I don't trust that guy Jake much" he looked at Jake and then turned to me with a smiled. "really? or are you just jealous because Jake is my date?" he gripped me tightly from behind and make his way closer to my face. "Maybe I am, maybe I am not" he smirked and flustered. "Knock it off" he chuckled. I was smiling through the dance and to me it was most magical night ever. 

Me and Xavier was laughing after our dance because I kept stepping his feet. "You are the most terrible dancer, I've ever met" I smacked him right in the shoulder and he was already hold his arm laughing at me. "You will get better" I looked so confused "This dance come up only once in a year" he looked at me and chuckled. "We living in the same roof, no need to worry about that" I smiled at him and nodded. I don't know why but I liked the idea. I was having fun at the ball with my friend and we had a blast. I wasn't with Jake since he said he wasn't feeling well so I told him to go ahead first. While I was jumping and dancing with my friends, I looked at the table and saw Xavier was just looking at me with a smiled on his face. Come to know I love how he just looked after me. 

I was in the washroom waiting for my friend to do her business. I'd done doing my touch up and I was like maybe I should go outside while waiting for her. Xavier was still inside since I told her to not come with me since I'm going with my girl to the restroom. I stepped outside and I was scared looked at the two buff looking guy was already standing in front of the restroom door. "Are you looking for someone?" my voices started shaking and they looked at each other then turned back to me. "you" after they say that they quickly put their hands on my mouth prevent me from screaming for help but that does not stopping me from screaming. They pulled me the exit door and I kept wiggling myself to loosen the gripped. "stay still !" I was scared and I need Xavier.

Xavier's pov

I was waiting for my lady to come back from her restroom break with her friend. I started having flashback of the dance between the two of us. I smiled myself remembering her smiled on her face. Until I heard someone came running from the entrance "XAVIER ! XAVIER !" I stood up and looked at the person. It was her friend, I looked behind her and there was no signs of my lady. I felt a hunched and I looked at her friend. I came closer to her "where is Reinee?" she was in a short breath and looked at me. "I don't know where she goes, but I heard her screaming. I think they went to the exit" without thinking twice I ran to the door and hopefully I get there before they took her away. I ran as fast as I could using my supernatural power. 

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!" I kicked the guy on the stomach and one guy was already having my knees down. "Xavier will come after you" they laughed. They tapped my mouth before they closing the door of the van. I looked around me and there was nothing sharp nor knife in the back of the van. I heard the engine started and they were about the leave until I heard smash from the van that just makes the can stopped. Until I can sense there was someone opening the door van. I squinted my eyes and I saw a figure man opening the door. "MY LADY!" he jumped inside the van and untied my hand. He opened the tapped from my mouth. He looks at me and cupped both my cheeks, checking every part of my faces and body if there were any injuries. "you're okay?" I looked at him and tears already built up in my eyes. I nodded without answering him and hugs me. "you're okay now, I'm here" I felt warmed in his arms and gladly that I am safe. 

He picked me up and went outside of the van. We walked in front of the van where the car was. I looked at the driver seat and it was already splatter a lot of bloods on the window, I was shocked. Did he punched that man harder enough to splatter blood all over the driver sit. I looked at the distance between the car and the van was very far but how come the front of the van was that terrible damaged? I looked at Xavier and he blood at the corner of his lips. What the hell! I wiggled myself from his gripped. "Let me down!" I was scared looking at him and he had his worried face on him that gives me the shiver. "WHAT ARE YOU!?" I screamed and looked at him with fierce. "My lady, what is going on?" I pointed at him "You what's going on! Tell me who you are"
