"The surgery has successfully finished, Deepika,"

"Alan's stable now."
Deepika let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding.
"Doctor, thank you so much,"
she whispered, clasping her hands in front of her.
"Can I meet him now?"
The doctor nodded but raised a hand gently.
"Let me finish. He's alright, but as I mentioned earlier, his heart was severely injured. He came incredibly close to death. It's a miracle, really."
"Yes..."
Deepika replied, her voice barely audible, as if afraid that speaking any louder might somehow disturb Alan's fragile state.
"His entire body is damaged as well. We replaced his heart, but given the severity of his injuries, there might be some difficulties."
The doctor hesitated, weighing her words carefully.
"He may have trouble waking up."
Deepika's heart sank.
"You mean...?"
The doctor nodded, his expression empathetic.
"Yes. He's in a coma. But,"
he continued, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder,
"I've taken every precaution to avoid a prolonged state. There's a good chance he might wake up within the next seven days."
Deepika looked away, blinking back tears.
"Doctor..."
The doctor's face softened, and he patted her shoulder.
"I understand, Deepika. I can see how much you care for him. But as someone who sees you almost like a daughter, I have to say-this isn't the age for such intense relationships. You have so much ahead of you."
"Please, Doctor,"
she interjected, her voice trembling.

"Alright, I won't mention it again. Let's focus on Alan's recovery. I'll prepare a list of medications he'll need. Today, we'll administer his treatments through injections, but from tomorrow, you'll have to ensure he takes the medicine orally."
