INT. AIM HEADQUARTERS – MR. JINX'S OFFICE – NIGHT
The door to Mr. Jinx's office opens silently as Phil Coulson and Max Brashear enter cautiously, their weapons at the ready. The office is pristine—gleaming surfaces, sleek furniture, and walls lined with high-tech displays. The air hums with the quiet energy of machinery working behind the scenes, but the real tension comes from the man sitting calmly behind his desk.
Mr. Jinx, the director of AIM, greets them with a confident, sinister smile. Behind him, a massive monitor flickers to life, showing live footage from another part of the facility. The feed zooms in on Ali Morales, May, Daisy, and Grant Ward, who are all tied to chairs in what appears to be a high-security lab. Their hands are restrained behind their backs, and they're surrounded by AIM guards. In the corner of the lab, clearly visible on the footage, is a glass display case holding a mysterious scepter with a glowing blue gem.---
MR. JINX
(amused)
"Right on time, Agent Coulson. I was beginning to think you'd forgotten about our little meeting."---
Coulson's eyes lock on the screen, taking in the sight of his team restrained, powerless for the moment. The glowing scepter in the room with them immediately catches his attention, but his face remains composed, his voice calm but icy.
---
COULSON
(serious)
"Where are they?"---
Mr. Jinx leans back in his chair, gesturing casually to the live footage as if displaying a prized possession. He takes obvious pleasure in his control of the situation.
---
MR. JINX
(smirking)
"Right where they belong. Comfortable, don't you think? They've been quite the guests."---
Coulson glances again at the scepter in the lab footage, his eyes narrowing. The artifact pulses with a strange energy that makes him uneasy, and it's clear that whatever it is, it's dangerous. Max, standing beside Coulson, clenches his fists, his eyes fixed on the screen as well, his frustration barely contained.
---
MAX
(gritting his teeth)
"Let them go."---
Mr. Jinx chuckles, shaking his head as he rises from his chair. He moves slowly, confidently, pacing around his desk as he watches Coulson and Max with amusement.
---
MR. JINX
(taunting)
"Now, why would I do that? You're not in any position to bargain, and I'm enjoying our time together. Besides, I wanted to show you something... special."---
He gestures toward the monitor, zooming in on the scepter in the display case. The blue gem glows faintly, casting an eerie light across the room where Coulson's team is tied up. The AIM guards stand nearby, keeping a close watch on the prisoners, while the artifact pulses softly in the background.
---
MR. JINX (CONT'D)
"We found that little gem in some very old ruins in Europe. It's ancient—older than anything either SHIELD or Hydra has ever uncovered."---
Coulson's gaze shifts back to the screen, studying the scepter more closely. He knows immediately that it's no ordinary artifact. His voice tightens.
---
COULSON
"What is it?"---
Mr. Jinx smiles wider, clearly relishing the moment. He steps closer to the monitor, almost as if admiring the scepter's power through the screen.
