Chapter 4- Ms. Mouse is Turning Over a New Leaf

A few days ago

"I am glad that everyone could make it to this mission brief. We have information about a well-known hollow gang called the Mountain Lions. Captain Zhu Yuan will be going over the details of the mission. Everyone pay attention, because we will not be going over it twice." Public Security Commissioner calmly said before he looked at Zhu Yuan.

Zhu Yuan was startled when someone cleared their throat before she said, "Thank you, Commissioner. Like the commissioner said. We are here for a mission briefing. Everything you see and hear in this meeting is to remain top secret and not to be leaked to any outside sources." Zhu Yuan pressed a button on a remote that turned on a slide show projector before she continued. "Today's mission is that we have credible information about an infamous Hollow Gang that has been a thorn in Public Security's side for some time now. The intel that we have gathered is from a reliable source."

Stacks of papers were passed out with all of the information to everyone in the room. When all eyes were back on her, Zhu Yuan cleared her throat.

Zhu Yuan calmly said, "Besides the normal leaders and enforcers of the Mountain Lions, we have a Person of Interest. She is a mouse Thiren that no one knows her true name. She goes by the name Jane Doe. She is to be treated as highly dangerous, and no one should approach her on their own. If you spot her, call it out so that we can subdue her without incident."

Zhu Yuan pushed a button on the remote as she went over each slide in detail and took questions from those that were in the room. She went over what to do in case of an emergency. When everything about the mission was discussed, officers were given a chance to ask last minute questions. Soon, they were dismissed after they were reminded when and where the rendezvous place and time. Everyone stood up as the Public Security Commissioner exited the room. Then, officers slowly exited the room leaving Zhu Yuan alone with Qinqyi and a rookie officer named Seth Lowell. They discussed the mission as they headed to Zhu Yuan's office. Then, Zhu Yuan was left alone in her office until it was lunch time. She met Belle at their normal lunch location. They talked about different topics, especially how well both Random Play location have been doing recently. Soon, lunch was over. It was time for them to go back to work. Zhu Yuan went to the armory where everyone who participated in the mission brief were doing last-minute equipment checks. When time, everyone walked outside and went to their designated Public Security transportation truck. When everyone was loaded, the trucks slowly pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards the nearest entrance to the Hollow. It took some time before they reached the hollow before the trucks slowly broke through into the Hollow itself. Soon, they arrived at the designated location before they piled out of the trucks. They went with their assigned squads before they headed towards the mission location where it was believed that the Mountain Lions had some hostages. Along the way, they ran into almost constant Ethereal attacks. Their sheer numbers allowed them to overcome any threat that they encountered. Soon, they reached the designated location where members of the Mountain Lions could be seen providing security along several avenues approach. They seemed to be unaware of the looming threat. Zhu Yuan, Qinqyi and Seth Lowell went to a high location to ensure that the hostages and person of interest were still there. They were able to identify that the hostages were still alive and well. Also, Janee Doe was also there leaning against a wall as two enforcers were barking orders. They went back down and regrouped with everyone else before the squads broke into five groups and approached from different angles. They were able to get a jump on the overwatch without incident before they headed to the main encampment.

When everyone was in place, Zhu Yuan shouted, "Freeze! Public Security. We have you all surround. Drop your weapons and come out with your hands up."

"Like hell we are going to give up. Listen up. Anyone who throws down their weapons and attempts to surrender will have to answer to me." One of the enforcers said.
