Gone with Gotham

Not the end but the beginning

Black Canary pulled back from the hug, whipping her own tears before reaching up to wipe the tears that ran down Dick's face. He smiled slightly at the jester, though the smile did not seem to reach his eyes. She stepped back allowing Clark to fill her place. Their hug was brief but when they pulled back Clark held onto Dick's shoulders. He looked down at the boy in front of him accessing the changes to the young man. He had a noticeable scar from the right side of his temple that reached about halfway down his check. A new scar along his neck appeared to be from a gunshot wound that had grazed the side of his neck. Smaller scars acquired in fights littered his face, many likely being from the same people who could lead to his demise in hours.

"Hey kiddo, I'm sorry we did not get over ourselves sooner." Clark forced himself to look Dick in the eyes. The brightness they once held was dampened but they held more wisdom and the same passion remained blurred by the tears.

Dick nods to Clark, opening his mouth to speak when the tube went off behind the heroes.

"Catwoman BFAM 09, Red hood BFAM 05, Red Robin BFAM 07, Harley Quinn BFAM 16, Poison Ivy BFAM 17, Batwoman BFAM 14"

The heroes were put in a sense of confusion following the reveal of 5 rather famous or infamous anti heroes.

Catwoman had turned to heroism through her relationship with Batman but she never did stop her petty theft (though she seemed to target the rich more than stores and museums). It had been rather big news when reporters caught her kissing Batman after fighting alongside him. She had remained close with the family after Bruce's death. She took the role of a mother in Dick's life, serving as a fellow grandparent to Alfred over his siblings. While she looked her age, she did not act it. Still as flexible and agile as ever, Catwoman was not uncommon to see by the side of any of the members of the Batfamily.

Harley and Ivy switching over to a life of morally gray heroism was much more of a shock. Selina and the younger woman had been a trio for years, her moral shift had pushed them to take the leap they had tendered on for years. Independently Halrey and Ivy were known for helping out the Batfamily in times of desperation. Harley had let the kids out of Jokers traps on many occasions. Ivy was known to have a sweet spot for all of the Robins. Both women were known to step in to prevent harm to children or sexual crimes. But they were still considered villains in the minds of the Gotham Public. That was until seeing the trio with the dark knight was a common occurrence. Ivy using her vines to save the citizens of Gothams despite the city's distaste for those deemed "meta" seemed to put most of the city at ease. Harley earning the trust of the Gotham public was harder due to her association with the Joker. Harley though was seen fighting against the Joker every time that he got out following her association with Batman. It was several years before they truly trusted her, and both women did not follow Batman's strict moral rules, but the women were trusted anti heroes.

Red Hood had been deemed an antihero from the start, taking down anyone he deemed too risky to be on the streets. He gained popularity, and a great deal of fear, through his work of taking down the drug cartel along with targeting the Joker. Batwoman is a hero, who carries a gun, making her an antihero in the eyes of those outside of Gotham due to her use of lethal weaponry, though most heroes and villains outside of Gotham have powers much stronger than the small firearm she carries. While the Justice league deemed them both criminals Gotham city had long categorized them both as Antiheros.

Red Robin was a shock, not due to his status, but due to his relationship with Dick Grayson. Last anyone on the team or in the league knew the brothers were not on speaking terms. After Damian took the mental of Robin, Tim left and refused to talk to his brothers. Upon multiple apologies and seeing the harm the strained relationship was causing his brother Tim reconnected with Dick. Tim took over the more public side of Wayne enterprises though it belonged legally to his brother. The two brothers split everything eveally between themselves and Cass.
