Missing

Walid's POV

At one moment I was kissing my wife and the very next moment she pushed me away screaming "GHOST, GHOST"

What the hell?? She quickly jumped out of the lap and pointed towards the closed window where someone was knocking, the face was not visible, my senses went on alert mode quickly as I pulled out the gun from my waist, yes I carry it everywhere, I looked at the scared figure of Zahra.

"Calm down, go hide in the bathroom until I call you back, remember to only come out when you hear my voice" I explained to her and she shook her head negative, I frowned and then she said, "I will not leave you alone, sath mein mar jaogi tumhare"
(I will die with you)

Before I could respond that person again knocked on the window and said, "Walid bhai it's me Abdul Rehman please open this window" what? He was in a coma from the last 2 months.. then how can he be here?

I quickly went towards the window to open it while I still have my gun ready in case of any misunderstanding.

As soon I opened the window Abdul Rehman fell on shoulder and quickly entered the room, he swiftly closed the window while I had my gun pointed at him.

"Zahra please lock the door" he asked to dumbfolded Zahra who was as confused as me, I glanced at his breathless form as if he came here running, he was still in hospital clothes and his hand was still attached to the syringe pipe which I think he pulled the IV away in order to run.

I grabbed his shoulder and made him sit on the bed, I motioned Zahra to close the door as she was shivering in his presence since she is unaware of what happened with him, she sees him as her molester.

He started blabbering and I filled a glass of water for him, he gulped it all in one go, his eyes were shot red as if he was high and his face was clearly screaming discomfort.

I quickly dialed Aiman and asked her to come in room, in less than 30 seconds Aiman and humza barged in the room, They immediately approached Abdul who was blabbering something, and I moved to convience Zahra that he will not do any harm to her.

"W-Walid, what is happening here" I swiftly wrapped my arms around her and said "Shushh it's okay, you trust me right?" She immediately nodded
"Then why are you scared of him? No one will harm you in my presence okay?" I assured her and made her sit on the nearby bean bag before turning to Abdul who was now calmed.

Humza held his gun on his temple and I was standing opposite to him alongwith Aiman, I motioned humza to drop the gun, he immediately followed my instructions.

"Abdul Rehman, explain yourself, I assure you no one will harm you until you attack anyone here" I said in a calm tone while pulling a chair for myself.

"T-the engagement day, I-I swear on my mother I didn't touch you Zahra" his eyes held honesty, his voice was a utter witness of his words quality, he turned to me and said "Remember I came to you for thanking you that day? I also said that I would let her go, and I did let her go, I had no intentions to hurt her or anyone"

"Then what was that audio? You are a liar Abdul Rehman you molested me" Zahra screamed at him while tears flowing from her eyes. I quickly approached her and rubbed her back.

"NO I'm not a rapist NO I DIDN'T TOUCH ANYONE, I was forced to do this, On Imran bhai's henna ceremony I drank some juice, It didn't felt right so I excused myself to the restroom and I don't know what happened with me next thing I remember was a dark room with large screen, and a pendulum moving on that screen, I felt a weird comfort watching that pendulum" he tried explaining himself.

"That was your cerebral cortex going in depression" I explained the reason behind it but everyone glared at me with weird expressions, expect aiman who is aware of what I'm talking about.

"I mean, it's a technique used to depress cerebral cortex, it's a part of brain which controls our conscious thoughts, once your cerebral cortex is depressed our subconscious brain comes in action"

My explanation was of no use since they humza, zahra and abdul rehman had same confused expressions as before. I took a deep breath before explaining it again in simple terms.

"Basically there is part in our brain which controls our thoughts and consciousness we call it conscious brain, here when Abdul was watching pendulum moving on screen, that conscious part was getting depressed, or we can say the that part was sleeping for sometime, till our conscious brain is at rest everything we talk, act, or any information given to us is saved in our subconscious mind, that is basically a space where all our hidden thoughts and desires are stored, what happened after that pendulum Abdul?"

"I kept watching it and I don't know how I just fell asleep, when I woke up again I found myself in zahra's room, It was dark but I could still recognize the room and suddenly she came in the room, I don't know what happened to me I tried touching her, I swear I don't had any intentions to do that, I just did it until I heard a knock, that sound of constant banging of door by humza felt like a hit on head and not on the door, I immediately left her and I started searching for an escape I looked down from window and there was already a stair case placed as if it is to help me I quickly rushed back" he concluded this I sat next to him on bed realising this is all connected.

Suddenly someone barged in the room, it was Nashra with her Ipad.

"Zaviyar is missing"
