Goh's POV

"Hey, Goh. I know it has been a while- but.... Heh heh..... I want you to know something." I blinked at my phone. He actually made an attempt to call me! And even sent me a voice mail! I continued to listen.

   "I'm not gonna stall, I'm just gonna cut it right to the chase. Goh, when I lost you, I lost me. And what hurts the most, is that it was my fault!" He voice cracked. My hurt burst as he went on, "I did this to myself, even though I didn't want to do it. I don't know why I did it. But I did. And I am so sorry for hurting you. I stopped calling because the sound of your voice hurts me. And I was too chicken to call back and beg for you to let me back in."

   My heart was beating strongly in my ribcage. His words affected me like a thousand nails piercing into my flesh. "But Goh, remember when you caught Eternatus? Well, I take that into symbolism. Because, like that night, you are the shield to my sword: I need you for the ride. I can't fight without you. you are the red to my blue, together we make purple. You are the sun to my rain, together we make a rainbow. I understand if this isn't how it goes the other way around, but these feelings are strong and true. I need you. And I'm sorry. Do you want to meet somewhere? Its okay if you don't. How how about, if you want, tomorrow, we meet at that one scone stall in the Galar Region?"

   "You don't have to answer, nor show up. But I will be there from 1:00-2:00. I love you"

   My heart stopped in my chest. He told me he loved me. He confessed love to me in the most sweet but unexpected way possible: a voicemail telling me he needs me to continue in life. I smiled.

   "WAS THAT ASH?!" Chloe stormed in my room, in fury.

   "Yes." I smiled down at my rotom-phone. She snatched it from me, "Don't believe a word he says!".

   "Why not? He was sincere. I would know" I argued. Her eyes flashed.

   "I-I.... I am just really mad. He did sound sincere... I guess I'm just angry.." She sighed. Her body plumped on the bed beside me, and she lifted the covers to her chin. She let out a long, deep sigh. "I can't let him hurt you, again" her hand found mine. I gently stroked it.

   "I know, Chlo. But he needs me to show up. I need to show up as well." I smiled, gently. Her eyes widened.

   "Do you love him back?!" She whispered, so her dad couldn't hear us. I nodded, with a hopeful smile. She pounced on me with the biggest hug, "And he loves you! Oh my Arceus, this is perfect!" Her arms tightened around my neck. I was thrilled!

Chloe's POV:

   Me and Goh were on a plane to Galar. He had the biggest smile as he was scrolling through pictures of Me, Ash, and Him. His smile gave me reason to follow along. Goh insisted I stay behind, but I told him Dawn would be there, as she broke Ash from his depressive episode. Of course, Goh got worried when I told him that, but I assured him Ash was fine. I would have thought that Dawn would tell me Ash was back in Pallet this whole time, but she refused to break his precious trust.

Moon🌙:<Me and Ash are at the stand. Poor thing is shaking. He thinks Goh isn't coming. How much longer? He wants to leave!)

(Just twenty more minutes, Dawnie, keep him patient, but act like you don't know if we are coming>

Moon🌙:<I don't know if I will be able to hold him for thatlong)

   I looked back up at Goh, he was still smiling. Good sign. "What are you planning to tell him?" I asked.

   "That I love him, and forgive him. And we can go back to the way it was, if he wants. If not, more" his cheeks flushed as he talked in excitement. I was excited too!

Ash's POV:

   He's not coming. I wasted my time and money on thks trip. He isn't coming. I felt my throat tighten, and a tear squirm in my eye. I gotta keep it together. "Dawn, let's go. We can go camping." I gave a sad smile.

   "Ash, no! Don't give up hope just yet! We still have time!" She convinced me. I shook my head, sadly. "Ash, we still have time. What if he does show up and your not there?!"

   I raised my eyebrow"Is there something you know that I don't-"

   "Ash!" I swished my body around to see who was calling me. Standing beside Koharu, was him. His black hair was shorter now, but his highlights shone in the daylight. He was wearing a black hoodie and cargo pants. My legs had a mind of their own when they broke into a sprint. I flew across the pavement, with dozens of people watching me. I plummeted faster than a rapidash. I have never ran this fast, but time has never been so still. It was happening to fast for Goh to even react. His eyes widened as my arms thrashed around him, and swooped him until a hug. My knees gave in, and now I was on the floor, tightened around him.

   "A-Ash-"

   "I'm sorry!" I interrupted, pressing my face into his chest. His heart was beating violently. I bolting up to him must of shocked him. "Please Goh. Please forgive me...". I slowly let go of him.

   He crouched down to my level, "Ash. I forgave you before it even happened." He smiled. I felt my guilt wash away, and a tear formed in my eye.

   "Really?" 

   "Come here." He smiled. Just like how I left, I hugged him without hesitation. His arms wrapped around me. I felt warm and fuzzy inside. His hands stroked my back, gently. I melted into him.

   "I love you~" I sighed, gently into the crook of his neck. His arms tightened squishing me. 

   "I love you" he replied back. 

   "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeh this is so exciting!" Dawn and Chloe squealed. I smiled at them, but felt a flush of guilt enter my body.

  "Ash, don't feel guilty, you came back." He smiled, hugging me. I nodded, and lifted my head to kiss him.
