Vi POVSurprisingly, a few days had passed by like a flash, It was now Friday. Me and Caitlyn had been hanging out every day after school, we'd explore Zaun together and even once she took me up and showed me around with parts of Piltover I've never seen before, I loved every second I spent with her.
I walked down the halls and into the lunch room with my hands in my pockets and my head low. Ever since that day when I stood up for Cait to that damn perv, I've always kept an eye on her when I could. Whether it was in the halls, outside, during lunch, or in any class I had with her, whenever I could I'd watch and try to protect her from far away. At times it felt weird that I watched her constantly, but she's one of the few people I like in this inane world, I absolutely will not let anything happen to her.
I look around and spot the pretty girl in the lunch line, I start walking over to her, people were everywhere, I couldn't ever tell if any of them were going over to her, or just walking to the line or somewhere else to be with their friends, if they even had any. I looked around at everyone around me, I continued walking till I got to Caitlyn. "Hey Cupcake," I said with a wink. She rolled her eyes, "Hello, Vi" she spoke clearly, her accent peaking through slightly
She looked really pretty today, well, she always looks astoundingly perfect but something's different today, something's pulling me into her more.
"Something's different about you." I say and she raises an eyebrow, "What?" I furrow my eyebrows, "There has to be something," I say and get close to her and grab her, putting my face super close to her neck, "Woah! What are you doing?" She says and pushes me back a little, "You smell like strawberries!" I say and she giggles, "I got a new perfume? Is that what's different?" She says and I chuckle, "I guess, I really like it." I say with an awkward laugh, she just smiles at me
During lunch, I sat with my siblings along with Ekko, he had been sick for a while, so he hadn't come to school, but now he's okay and back. Everyone was talking, but I wasn't really interested in what all they had to say. What I was more interested in, was the girl sitting all by herself across the cafeteria. I wanna go sit with her, I feel bad that she always has to sit by herself. But what if I go and I seem too clingy to her? We've already been hanging out every hour of the day almost and I don't wanna annoy her or make her uncomfortable, 'cause I mean, I do get pretty cocky sometimes or I get super flirty and say or do things that I'm not even sure she likes. And I don't wanna leave powder and make her think I'm replacing her. Ugh! What do I do? I suppose nobody would mind if I go sit with her, I mean, they aren't even talking to me, everyone's talking to Ekko or laughing at some kids ass hanging out. Whatever, I'm going over.
I grabbed my stuff and stood up to go over to her, "where're you going?" Powder asks, shit. "I'm gonna go sit with Caitlyn, I feel bad she's all alone." I say and she smiles, "Okay then, tell her I said Hi?" She says and I can already hear the boys whispering, I wanted so badly to grab their trays of food and smash them in their faces like a birthday cake, but I just ignored them. "Okay," I say and start walking away
Just then, my heart sinks as I watch some guy go over to her and sit in front of her. Who is he? Are they friends? Does he like her? What if she likes him? That's impossible! I'm better than that guy. What if he's trying to do something bad? Or get to her to hurt her or something? My thoughts run wild as I walk faster over to her till a guy starts to creep on her from behind. I clench my fists together and furrow my brows, I swear to fuck if he touches her.
And of course, right as I thought that, the guy pulled at her hair and yanked her into the floor, people around them whipped their heads around, some shocked, some laughing, some not even paying attention or caring.
