After training I decided to go on a walk to the neighborhood park. There was this nice area I liked to sit at and just be in my thoughts. It was already dark out but I didn't mind. plus there were street lights. I sat on the bench and just relaxed looking up at the stars. It was nice for a while... Until I heard some people coming toward the park. It was cobra kai..

My breath hitched in fear and I swallowed hard in my throat. It hurt even worse since I saw Kenny and Robby in the group which was now coming towards me. I stood up from the bench so they didn't have as much as an advantage over me. 

"Well if it isn't the eagle chick here all alone?" Kenny said and grinned. God he was annoying

"Get outta here.. just leave me alone." I said standing my ground."Or what?" Robby said. "You're out-numbered little birdie" Kyler said. "Y'know dumb cobras are just the same as any other snake in the grass" I said and glared at them. All I heard after that was: "What'd you say?" "Get her guys" Before I was grabbed and held down while the others punched me. My own cousin was beating me up with his friends..

One of them held my arms back and another one held me by my legs while Kenny and Robby took turns kicking and punching me until I was limp and only being held up by the two people holding me. They let me go onto the ground and kicked me a few more times before leaving. Everything was a blur. The last thing I remembered seeing before I was out was...Anthony?

When I woke up I was in the LaRusso house for some odd reason. I didn't know why or what happened. But I felt a sharp pain in my ribs and my head. Mr LaRusso was talking to Anthony in front of me. I tried sitting up but I felt too weak. "Dad she's up" I heard Anthony say.

"Are you alright Cassie?" Mr LaRusso said

"what happened?" I asked "Cobra kai." Anthony said. God I was so sick and tired of hearing that damn name. I sighed and shook my head. 

"They can't just keep doing this. Mr LaRusso I think you and Sensei Lawrence should really work together.. For us at least." I said.

 "I don't know if I can.. He's stubborn and wants to take control of everything" Mr LaRusso said.

"You guys are both stubborn and wanna teach your own ways. Maybe if you learn eachothers styles then you guys can teach both to us. Because if we wanna take down cobra kai then we need to be practicing both offense and defense." I explained and he agreed with me.

"Are you ok though?" Anthony asked. "You guys got any aspirins or something?" I asked. "I'll get you an advil.." He went to the kitchen. 

I grabbed my phone to check it. I had a ton of missed calls from Bryce and a few from my dad. And just some messages from the karate group chat. I looked at the time and it was 9:32. I texted my dad that I was gonna stay at Devon's house and told him that she was a new karate student. And then I texted Uncle Johnny to see if he can pick me up.

could you pick me up? Im at the LaRusso's house.

Why? What's going on? And why are you at the LaRusso's??

pls i'll explain when you get here. if my dad see's me like this he'll go insane

Anthony came back with a glass of water and two advils. I took them and drank the water. "Johnnys coming to pick me up. If my dad see's me like this he'll have a fit" I said. I had my ribs taped from Mr LaRusso and tape on my nose and bruises and cuts all over my face and body. 

Johnny got there and bursted through the front door. "Jesus, Johnny cant you knock?!" Mr LaRusso said.

"The hell happened to you?!" He rushed over to me. "Cobra kai's jumped me at the park. Robby was one of them.." I said. He looked so mad. 

"Cant you and Mr LaRusso just work together? We should be practicing both styles if we don't wanna get our asses kicked." I said

"No way. Not now not ever." Johnny said "C'mon lets go" He helped me off the couch. Before leaving I stopped and faced Anthony.

"Thanks a lot. you really saved my ass out there" I chuckled.

"Of course. I'll always be there for you." He smiled and I smiled back.  My heart did a summersault. I left and got in Johnny's car. On the car ride there I fell asleep looking out the window. I woke up when Johnny picked me up to carry me inside but I faked sleeping so he kept carrying me.

He put me on the couch and covered me with a blanket then he left the apartment for some reason. I didn't know what he was doing or where he was going but I decided to just go to sleep.

The next morning when I woke up Miguel was there waiting for Johnny to give him a ride to school. I blinked my eyes open and slowly sat up. Then I remembered, shit there was school today. 

"Jeez Cass what happened to you?" Miguel asked. "Cobra kai" I scoffed and rolled my eyes. I hated hearing that name. "of course" He said angrily and rolled his eyes. 

"Sensei can I skip school today?" I asked

"yea whatever if your dad catches you tho I was never a part of it. Im gonna bring Miguel to school and then i'll be back. theres bolognese in the fridge and beef jerky in the cabinet. water from the sink." And with that they left.

Johnny came back later with some real food. We spent the whole day watching movies like Iron Eagle and Bloodsport. It was fun. Really good bonding time. After "I was done with school" I went home. Johnny helped me cover up my injuries so my dad wouldn't see them.

I was hanging out in my room when I got a text from anthony

Hey how you feeling? You weren't in school today.

Im alright. Just still a little sore from what happened.

I got ready for the park curious on what he had that would 'make me feel better'. I felt like shit anyways. I was lying about being 'alright'. I put on a jacket and some simple shorts and left my house. When I got to the park, Anthony was sitting on the bench and he had a box and it had some of my favorite snacks. It had hot cheetos, reese's cups, nerds gummy clusters, and pop tarts. The stuff I usually got from the vending machine every day at school.

"Hey ant!" I smiled and sat next to him. "Hey. I got you some snacks" He smiled. "Thanks! You really didn't have to." "Oh it was nothing I just picked them up from the vending machine today." I smiled and opened the bag of nerds clusters. I ate one and held the bag for Anthony to get one if he wanted. he ate one too. 

We sat there in silence but it wasn't weird or awkward. It was just a comfortable silence. I wasn't sure how I felt about him. But I knew I didn't hate him anymore..
