Chapter 8

Some weeks passed. Levi had still to lay in bed. But slowly he was able to do things on his own. We didn't have sex, even if we always slept in the same bed. A bit of fun would have been really great for me since I was always concentrated on work. We were planing to go on an expedition soon. Levi wasn't happy about it at all. He was really worried, what I could perfectly understand. He didn't say anything tough. 
All the cadets from the HQ loved Levi. They all tought that he was a really cool guy. Especially our youngest cadets. No one was bothered about the fact that we were a gay couple. They tought it's just normal. That made me happy as well. 
After work, I headed back to me room to see Levi. He just took a shower and was sitting in his boxers at the table, looking at a book. I talked to him while I was taking my uniform off. "I didn't know you can read, darling."

"Well duh, I can't read."

I laughed. "So are you just starring at the letters?"

"There are only a few letters. It's mainly a picture book."

"Like the ones for kids?"

"I hope not."

"You hope not? What you me--" I turned around and noticed that he was looking into a Kamasutra-book (sex positions). I jumped up "W-W-WHO GAVE YOU THAT??!!"

"Hanji."

"WHERE THE FUCK DID SHE GET THAT FROM??"

"Don't act like it's such a big deal. I don't want to know in how many asses you shoved up your dick."

I started sweating. "W-well.... hehe..."

"Move that ass over here."

I did as he asked for. I was only wearing my pants and my shoes. "What is it?"

Levi showed on a position where one was sitting on the others lap and doing what he was supposed to do. "Let's try this out sometime."

I smirked. "How about now?"

"Are you stupid? Take a shower first. Hurry before I change my mind, brat"

"Yes, sir!" I hurried into the shower very quickly. Levi smiled.

Levi POV

The relationship with Erwin was going well. While he was in the shower, I was thinking about something I tought for a long time. He would be off for his next expedition in one week. The expedition was longer then the others they planned before. I wanted to be at his side, no matter what...
Erwin got out of the shower with only a towel wrapped around his waist. He walked up to me and without saying anything he started kissing my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed back, as he picked me up and carried me over to the bed. He sat down and placed me on his lap. I kissed his neck end then leaned my head on his shoulder. He hugged me. "I want to talk to you about something, Erwin..."

"Go ahead, darling."

"I want to join the expedition..."

"But Levi, you aren't a soldier and that will most certainly cause your death! I can't risk that... Don't worry, I'll be fine, really..."

"I know that I'm not a soldier... I want you to train me. There's a week left. I'll work hard, I promise! I want to be there, making sure that you keep your promise! You promised me that you'll never leave me, Erwin... It's not like I don't trust you.. I'm just really scared..."

But Erwin just looked away. "There's no way I would let you throw away your life like that... Forget about it Levi, you're staying here."

"Erwin I'm begging you... Please don't let me stay here... I want to come along, I want to stay with you!"

"Enough!!!"

I scared back slightly when he shouted. I just looked at him with sad eyes. I understood that he didn't want me to risk my life. But the anxiety was devouring me. He was going to risk his life, and I couldn't be there. If he had to die, I wanted to die along with him. He was looking at me with his serious face. The face he had always on at work. That was not my Erwin.. I leaned my head back on his shoulder and whispered "I love you" in his ear.
He lost his serious face and hugged me tightly. "I love you too, Levi. That's why I want you to stay here... You didn't recover from your injuries completely... You still need a lot of rest..."

"I understand that... But Promise me that you will come back... Promise me, please..."

"I promise. And when I get back, I will marry you, Levi."

My eyes went wide open for a moment. Then I smiled. "You have to keep that one."

"I will." He looked back at me and kissed me. I kissed back.

One week later, I was helping the cadets and Erwin getting ready for the expedition. I took care of some horses. They were all really serious. I could read fear out of some of the cadets eyes. When everything was ready I walked over to erwin and hugged him. He hugged me back. "Remember that you have to come back to marry me."

He kisses my forhead and smiles. "I will keep that promise. Relax a bit in that time, my love."

"It will be hard... But I will try.",I put on a fake smile. Erwin noticed that.

"I've survived many expeditions Levi. I'm going to survive this one too, for you."he kissed my lips and looked at me with his skyblue eyes. My eyes were watering up. I was about to shed a tear, but I held myself back. I didn't want to make it difficoult for Erwin. "I will wait for you.." I kissed him and laid my hands on his cheeks. He kissed me back, and then slowly got me off him. Without saying any further word, Erwin left to get on his horse. Everyone got on their horses. My heart was breaking. But I gave all my strenght to put on a real smile and waved at Erwin. He saw me, smiled too and waved back. Then he looked straight in front of him, with his serious look. "Let's go!" 

"Yes, sir!", everyone shouted as answer. So they headed to the gate of wall Maria. I wasn't able to walk that far. I was not allowed to get out of the Survey Corps HQ because I was illegaly on the surface. I just watched them left, hoping they would all return. I started crying. I was alone and all I could do was hoping for Erwins health. I went back inside and tried to calm myself. I kept repeating myself that I had faith in Erwin and that he will come back for sure. I stopped crying while I was sitting on the bad and hugging the pillow. I sighed.
