The library and the hidden door

She woke up, sighed, and looked at her phone before getting up and grabbing baggy clothes from her dresser. She headed to the bathroom, turned on the shower, undressed, and took a shower. After a few minutes, she got out, dressed, brushed her teeth, and dried her hair. She left the bathroom, grabbed her bag from her room, and headed downstairs. Her eyes were drawn to the fridge, where she saw a yellow note. She quickly walked over, tore it off the fridge, and read it. The note said, "Dear Scarlett, your father and I won't be here for a few months, so don't cause any trouble," and finished with a smiling face. Scarlett sighed in annoyance, ripped the note, and headed out the door. As she started walking down the steps, she began on her way to school. After a few minutes, a lady with dark brown hair, long nails, and what seemed to fade into black stopped her.

"Excuse me, miss?" the lady said.

"Hm, oh yes?" Scarlett replied.

"Do you know where the high school is?" she asked, moving her hair out of her face. "

Oh yeah, just follow me," Scarlett said as she started to walk again.

"Thank you," she said with a pleasant tone.

As they walked, Scarlett felt as if eyes were watching her from the woods. She wasn't concerned about it; instead, she was focused on how the woman behind her closely resembled Savannah's mother. When they arrived at the school, they went their separate ways. Scarlett walked towards the main building and then heard a yell.

"Scarlett!" Savannah yelled as she practically tackled Scarlett with a hug.

They almost fell, but Savannah held them both up.

She was about to say something when the women walked by, and Savannah froze.

"What the fuck? Was that my mom? Don't tell me she's here to talk to my teachers!" she said, almost about to explode.

"No, actually, that's not it. It's a whole other person," she said, looking at her.

"Damn, she even has the same chest as her,"

Savannah said, pointing at the person.

Scarlett quickly grabbed her hand.

"Why are you staring and pointing at her chest?"

"Just making an observation," she said as she removed her hand from Scarlett's grasp as the bell rang.

"See you," Savannah said as she walked toward the second-floor stairs.

Scarlett glanced at the woman one last time before walking down the hall and opening the door to her English class. She proceeded to her seat at the back, took out her belongings from her bag, and looked up to see the woman at the front of the class writing her name on the board.

"Okay, what the fuck," she said in a grumble.

The new teacher's name was Ms. Scilith. As she turned around and smiled at the class, she went to her desk and told them to grab the book called "The Dark Phoenix" from the shelf.

Scarlett didn't move; she stayed at her desk with her head down, wondering about the feeling of being watched and who was watching her.

Suddenly, she felt a sharp stabbing pain in her back, causing her to jolt up. It was the teacher standing over her, with her hand on Scarlett's back and her eyes piercing through her. The teacher then knelt and spoke with her, her eyes never leaving Scarlett's.

"Are you alright?" she said in a cold tone, almost with hate. "

Y-yes, ma'am," Scarlett responded as the air dropped and everyone around them seemed to simply vanish.
