💬 Ok, so before you guys start reading, I want to let you know that from now on, I will only publish on Fridays and Sundays. If I happen to miss a day or add an extra chapter, I will let you all know beforehand. I think that's the most important thing to mention. Also, if you would like the chapters to be either shorter or longer, please let me know; knowing that would really help me organize my schedule.

Oh, and before I forget, I plan to start with the translations soon. Just a reminder: it will be in both English and Spanish. 💬

ok then, todays song will be...

hot n cold - katy perry

I had just finished my bath and was now getting dressed with the small help of Ms. Adele. Most of our exchanges had consisted of simple hellos and thank-yous. It was clear she didn't like me, but there was little I could do about it.

"I hope it's to your liking, princess," she said, her tone as cold as ever.

Breaking through that thick, stone-like wall of her heart would be no easy feat. I couldn't help but wonder how long I would be trapped here. Talking to only a dog was not exactly good for my mental health.

"May I ask a question, Ms. Adele?" I ventured, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Depends, princess," she replied, her coldness mixed with a hint of curiosity.

"Just how much do you know about Alex?" I inquired, hoping to glean something about him.

"Well, what can I say? He's quite a boy—very reserved, even with me. Though I've changed his diapers since day one," she said, glancing at me through the mirror, her expression tinged with melancholy.

"Is there a reason why?" I pressed.

"You should know, considering you are celestial. Am I wrong, princess?" Her tone hardened again.

"I've only just discovered what that even means. But no, Ms. Adele, I'm completely ignorant on the topic. I do know it has something to do with the celestial family, am I right?" I was eager to learn more about what he might want and maybe understand him better.

"Unfortunately, I'm just as clueless on that front. But yes, most of it has to do with the celestial family—especially with a specific person. But that's a story I can't tell," she replied, leaving me just as clueless as before.

"Although, if you really want to know, there's a Cerberus library in the castle..." Her comment caught me off guard. I hadn't expected anything from her, especially not that.

"Well, I would definitely love to—" I started, but she cut me off.

"Of course, you would need his permission," she stated flatly.

"Well, there goes my chance. Yeah, that's not going to happen," I laughed sadly.

"Don't be too hard on him, princess. Maybe don't try to escape next time," she said, a smirk playing at her lips.

"What was I supposed to do if he gives me that attitude? Especially after starving me in that dark room!" I shot back, defending my position. I didn't ask to be kidnapped, tied up, and treated like a bargaining chip.

What the hell am I, a prize?

Hell no.

"I guess you have a point there, princess. But have some patience. He's not very good with communication." Her tone softened slightly.

And why the hell was she defending him?

"Yeah, I've seen that," I replied, grinning.

It was impressive how our communication had improved in just half an hour, especially after such a rocky start. Maybe Ms. Adele wasn't just a tall, gray-haired old witch after all.

After a few more minutes, I was completely ready. Ms. Adele had applied a touch of makeup—not too much—and the dress she had chosen was a beautiful pastel green.

"Done," she said, and for the first time, a small smile crept onto her face.

"Ms. Adele, you've done an amazing job! I look like a real princess!" I beamed at my reflection in the mirror.

"Well, it's time now," she reminded me, and my smile faded, replaced by a wave of nerves.

"Remember, princess, patience." She offered me a reassuring smile.

Ms. Adele led me to the dining room, where I spotted what looked like Alex's back. I took a deep breath, steeling myself.

"Your Majesty," Ms. Adele announced my presence.

He turned around, and those green eyes stole the breath right out of my lungs. I could lose myself in their depths and forget everything else.

No! I mentally slapped myself. He's a psycho, remember? He hurt you and is using you.

I walked toward the table, determined to learn about what he wanted and how I fit into the rivalry with what I presumed was my brother. My gaze locked with his, an unyielding challenge that felt almost electric.

"Well, I shall bring the food to the table: fried pork and Roman salad," Ms. Adele announced, breaking the tense silence as she exited the room, leaving an oppressive stillness behind.

"So..." I began, forcing the words out. "Is the castle this lonely all the time, or—"

I was cut off.

"What about last night?" he asked abruptly, shifting the conversation's direction and forcing me to adjust my posture.

"It's horrible etiquette to spy on others' business, even if you weren't trying to escape," he continued, his audacity leaving my mouth agape.

He kills someone, attacks me, and then has the nerve to be mad at me?

The sheer audacity of it made my blood boil.

"Oh, I am so very sorry for that," I replied, dripping with sarcasm.

"Let's just ignore the fact that you almost assaulted me on the floor," I spat, my cheeks flushing red at my own words.

Well, that sounded better in my head.

"Well, you weren't supposed to be there, prin—"

"The fuck I wasn't! I'm not supposed to be anywhere but here! After all, let me remind you, YOU KIDNAPPED ME!"

I exploded, the frustration bubbling over.

His face was utterly unreadable, a canvas of surprise.

"I... I... I'm—" he stammered, and I couldn't believe it. For the first time, he seemed at a loss for words.

Shit, this is historical!

"The least you could do is apologize, asshole," I muttered more to myself than him.

"I apologize for my... um... unpleasant behavior, princess," he finally said, his voice softening slightly as if he truly felt remorse for what he had done.

"I don't normally have this type of situation with... um... females," he added, his tone taking on a childlike quality.

I really didn't understand him. How could he act like this after everything he'd done?

"Changing the topic, have you thought about what I told you? You can't keep me captive forever."

"About that, I've done my research on what you mentioned, and it's quite amusing what I found," he said, his tone shifting to one of icy menace that sent shivers down my spine.

I had never dealt with such a bipolar man before.

He pulled out some papers and placed them in front of me.

"What is this, Alex?" I asked, my confusion palpable.

"See for yourself, princess," he said, his voice laced with venom, causing my body to tremble.

I opened the files, and what the actual fuck was this...?
