Taylors POV

It was late afternoon when I finally arrived at Travis' place. The drive from the city had been long, but the thought of a weekend away with him had me giddy with anticipation. Travis always managed to make me feel safe and grounded, and after a busy week of traveling, all I wanted was to sink into the warmth of his arms.

I parked my car and walked up to the front door, feeling a small thrill of excitement. I knocked lightly, but before I could even lower my hand, the door swung open to reveal Travis, looking as handsome as ever in a fitted t-shirt and a pair of sweats. His grin was wide and welcoming.

"Hey, babe," he greeted me, his voice a low rumble as he pulled me into a tight hug, lifting me slightly off the ground. The scent of him—clean, woodsy, with just a hint of something spicy—immediately soothed my nerves.

"Missed you," I mumbled against his shoulder, breathing him in.

He set me down but didn't let me go, his hands sliding down to rest on my hips. "Missed you more," he said, his voice dropping slightly as his eyes flickered over my face, searching. "How was the drive?"

"Long," I admitted with a small smile. "But worth it." My heart fluttered at the way he was looking at me, his eyes dark and intent, like he couldn't wait to be alone with me.

"Come on in," he said, stepping aside to let me into his house.

The moment I walked inside, I felt the tension of the week melt away. His place was always so cozy, and there was something about being with Travis that just made everything feel right. He closed the door behind me and leaned against it, his eyes not leaving mine.

"So, what's the plan for tonight?" I asked, trying to act casual, though my pulse quickened under his gaze.

His lips curved into a smirk, and I could tell he had something in mind. "I was thinking we could start with dinner. I ordered from that Italian place you like."

"Mmm, sounds perfect," I said, moving closer to him, unable to resist the pull between us. "And after dinner?"

"Well, I've got a few ideas," he murmured, his voice lower now as his hands slid to my waist, pulling me flush against him.

I laughed softly, feeling the heat rise between us. "Do you, now?"

Before I could say anything else, his lips were on mine, soft but insistent. I melted into the kiss, wrapping my arms around his neck as he deepened it, his hands gripping my waist with more intensity. It was like every time we kissed, it was new, but familiar at the same time, and the spark between us never seemed to fade.

We stayed like that for a while, caught up in each other, the world outside disappearing. When he finally pulled back, I was breathless, my heart racing in my chest. Travis' eyes were darker now, filled with that familiar hunger I'd come to know so well.

"Dinner's going to get cold," he said, his voice rough around the edges.

I smirked, feeling a thrill of anticipation run down my spine. "We can heat it up later."

He let out a low laugh, shaking his head as he grabbed my hand and led me toward the kitchen. The smell of Italian food filled the air, but all I could focus on was him—how close he was, how his touch sent shivers of warmth through me.

We sat down at the table, sharing stories and laughter over plates of pasta. Travis kept brushing his hand against mine, his foot nudging mine under the table, little touches that sent sparks of electricity through me. It was playful, teasing, but the tension between us was building with every passing moment.

By the time we finished dinner, I couldn't wait any longer. I stood up, walking around the table to where he was sitting. He looked up at me with a raised eyebrow, clearly amused by my impatience.

"Something you need, babe?" he asked, his tone teasing.

I bit my lip, stepping closer until I was standing between his legs. "Maybe."

Without another word, he reached out, gripping my waist and pulling me down onto his lap. My heart raced as I settled against him, the heat of his body seeping into mine. His hands slid up my back, pulling me closer as he leaned in to kiss me again, this time slower, more intense. The world fell away once more as we got lost in each other, the air around us thick with anticipation.

Day Two

The next morning, sunlight filtered through the curtains as I slowly woke up. My body was warm, wrapped in the comforting weight of Travis' arms. I blinked a few times, adjusting to the light, and turned to see him still asleep, his face relaxed and peaceful. I smiled, feeling an overwhelming rush of love for him.

I slipped out of bed quietly, not wanting to wake him, and padded to the bathroom. The events of the night before replayed in my mind, and I couldn't help but smile. It had been perfect—romantic, tender, and filled with so much love.

After freshening up, I went to the kitchen to make coffee, but I couldn't shake the feeling of happiness that had settled in my chest. Travis made everything feel easy, and being with him made me feel more like myself than I had in a long time.

Just as I was finishing up in the kitchen, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to see Travis standing in the doorway, looking at me with that same soft, affectionate gaze that always made my heart flutter.

"Morning," he said, his voice still rough from sleep.

"Morning," I replied, handing him a mug of coffee.

He took it, but instead of drinking it, he set it down and walked over to me, pulling me into his arms. "Last night was..." He trailed off, searching for the right words. "Amazing. You're amazing."

I smiled, leaning into his embrace. "You're not so bad yourself, Kelce."

He chuckled, kissing the top of my head. "Let's make today just as perfect."

And so we did. We spent the day wrapped up in each other, sharing quiet moments, laughter, and affection. Every touch, every look, was filled with the kind of intimacy that didn't need words. It was just us—simple, effortless, and real.
