Twilight's Pov
Me and Spike walked out of the golden oak library as a scroll fell from the sky, Spike picked it up "what does it say?" Twilight asked him "Dear Twilight" spiked started to read the scroll aloud "you are invited to the princess festival, an event where we celebrate our princesses: Celestia Luna and Cadence" Spike looked at Twilight, who was looking excited "I can't believe we get invited to the festival!" Twilight exclaimed
Twilight watch as the princesses entered the stage "welcome everypony to the princess festival" Cadence said, who was in between Luna-who was on the left- and Celestia-who was on the right, Twilight looked at the princesses with happiness and.......jealousy, she quickly shoved the feeling away.... like she always does.
Twilight decided to go for a walk, by herself,
In the Everfree forest.
She walked and walked getting lost in her thoughts in the process, she came to a cliff overlooking the water, she looked down into it "you should be a princess" a voice said that sounded a lot like...her? the water she was looking at rippled and suddenly she saw herself! "Who-who are you?" Twilight asked the reflection "why! I'm you silly! I'm your desire to be a princess, I'm your jealousy, I'm your dark side" the reflection replied, and Twilight looked intrigued "how?! you shouldn't be real" Twilight protested "really? do your feelings exist? does your jealousy exist?" the reflection asked her, Twilight though for a moment and sighed "yes...yes my does jealousy exist" Twilight said confidently, the reflection snicked.
"Do you wish to become a princess? do you wish to become the alicorn you always wanted?" the reflection asked her, Twilight looked into the water and gasped, she had wings! well fake ones when she looked into the water, she had glowing wings and horn "yes! make me the alicorn I've always wanted!" Twilight told the reflection "Why of course! just step into the water" the reflection said, Twilight did as told and stepped into the water.
